Maybe we could liven up Clan Life a bit and have weekly awards such as:

Player of the Week
Muppet of the Week
Most Impressive Player of the Week
Clown/Joker of the Week
Tool of the Week
Team of the Week (solely based on performances)FCL and FBL


All to encourage a little more banter, ONLY those within a clan would be eligible. Not based on TournaPoints hardly anyone cares less about them nowadays.

there is a couple of categories I feel if they continue to put the same effort as they have the past few seasons, that clan could dominate them for a long time to come!

Could possibly do betting on results? Not for money. Just a point for getting the winner right another for score right?

Most Improved Player could be one, Best Player is most likely those who wins 5-1/6-0 although if i beat someone like Hardy 6-0, wouldn't be as impressive as lets say Seb beating Been 4-2 or 5-1.

Same for Clans really so could be done but may lead to arguments as a player or team could feel disrespected for their potential ability.

as for other three would lead to more arguing which we don't want.

Others i might add are Shock of the season in terms of a lower player drawing or better against a higher player.

Best Result of the season (e.g. if two robots go head to head and one wins 5-1 or better)

They all just end up as popularity contests and I doubt anything regular would be credible. Perhaps a team of the season, or player of the season but I don't see much difference between that and the GC's

Abrasive statements, bold unfounded exclamations of success and overhyping anything in your favour whilst writing off anything against as trivial, blatant hypocrisy is the cause of the forum trouble.

Whether the response is right or not, it will happen. Cause and effect, not people who don't mind their own business. Preventable, not treatable. Peoples attempts to stop it is just ironically the next reaction. From what I've seen so far, nothing will change because the same statements are being made as last season which stoked the flames of arguments when it all came crashing backwards.

True but if everyone votes at end of season, similar to Funky Awards i hosted on Snooks, generally you get it right

and a Trustworthy Panel decides for themselves

We had similar to funky awards here but it became a popularity contest and it led to arguments.

All in all, some arguments but if you want accuracy you need alot of voters

I agree with zante that the GC's are probably enough.

My thoughts on Player of the Week/Fortnight could be calculated in the form of ranking diff and game scores, could be too complicated, and then as I write this you may have players who have reset or even just new players.

reckon the league runners have enough on their plates taking over too

Was only meant to be a little bit of fun - like Team of the Week but filled up of at least 1 player from each team
