I got the break at the start of the first frame, but didnt get a shot after that. He hit a very nice 43 run.

Second frame, we both had a bit of bad luck. Him continuously potting the white, and me potting 2 balls.

He was on another level than me though, and much deserved the win!

8 Ball Pool UK - w_hoolahan broke and cleared up!

In the first frame, I went for a ball that looked 50/50 as to whether it passed to go in or not, but it didn't but left one of his reds safe with it over pocket, he went on to try and clear getting it into play but always looked a foul for my yellow going in and it did, and i cleared from his foul. Next frame he broke dry and i cleared for a 7 balling! Then next one i broke and scratched the white, and he cleared from it well. My form continued next frame, he broke dry again and again i cleared for a 7 balling! This one wasnt easy but from start got yellows with reds into play and cleared from there. Then next one i broke and it split very well, a yellow and red went in, the run out had to be on, i went with reds and did it, the black was tough too! long shot from centre low of table to top right, 1 or 2 yellows nearby too, right spin and accuracy got it. Next one looked another 7 baller but I under hit 2nd from last yellow just to top middle from distance, he eventually won it. Then last one was a tactical frame for a change but i eventually took it on, potting a tough double on my red and going from there, it wasn't easy but again I managed. Overall i think he caught me on a good day where i made little mistakes and cleared well a lot, 7 balling 3 times and running out once. Enjoyed them, ggs ty!

FBL Fixture Set 1 Result

Very happy with this performance and result (my first fixture of any kind this season). First frame was very tense, but the key to it was that I managed to build up a big enough lead by getting runs of 6's and 7's and at one point was 27 - 7 ahead. When I did miss, I hardly left anything on for him. He came back well though as I was tiring, and got a nice run of 22 to edge ahead 27 - 29 but then unluckily got out of position. I just about held it together to sneak the win. Second frame, the tables were turned somewhat, he got the big lead. When he missed I unluckily potted 2 balls at the same time, and he then got the run he needed to seal the deal. Overall, a very good match against a nice guy. I enjoyed it.

Kept it as tight as I could but he was superior in 8US. I got lucky in 9 to get the 3 I did but played well in UK and was unlucky to get one more. I'd definitely say a fair result, and one I'm happy with as he's a good player Will play my others soon as I can.
