I realize there are different opinions as to what scoring system is best, they're all respectable in their own way.
My point is, there's 3 leagues!, room for every opinion!
faust's preferred method (wins the most individual matches) has FBL, and Cup
onevisit's preferred method, 'unbeaten (in team matches) team should win' has SL, and it used to have the Cup until a season or 2 ago
yet mine and chappy's (and many silent others) opinion doesn't exclusively have anything.
FCL is a compromise of ours and onevisit's opinion. Heavy-handed in onevisit's favor too, ever since the bonus was raised from 10 to 20 a few seasons back.
I only find solace in the "Frame Count Shield", that chris agreed to implement, and award to any team that wins the most frames, yet doesn't win the FCL title.

Don't Been, I WAS genuinely only trying to get you to bite. As much as I don't think a league should be won by picking your best players every fixture and smashing the small teams, I'd do it if the rules changed - and I wouldn't be TOO bothered.
I was only trying to wind you up for a laugh, but I do think in any fcl tie, if one team wins 5 out of 8 matches, they're the better team. Even if one team has 3 better individuals. I agree with Chris's view completely on what a team win is. This said, I wouldn't want to see the FCL format changed.

Like harriet said, 8-7's, as close to a tie as you can get, I don't think an 8-7 should carry the same weight as 11-4.

lol, sorry it's a touchy subject for me. Can you blame me, considering the years of not getting my way, not only that, but during chris's reign leagues moved further away from what I'd prefer. For example, FBL stopped counting frames altogether.
You wanted a bite you got it!

Who have we tried to sign? None that I'm aware of, I mentioned to a player: one day would be great if had the opportunity to sign them but that is not exactly a formal offer is it.
So once again wrong!!!
