time will tell,,, Liverpool without one player have gone so far down hill its unreal

they will not get champions league next season,, simply there not strong enough in depth

Hardly the prediction of the year to say we would struggle without Suarez . 50 goals a season down and the point that Sturridge won us have cost us dearly. Sturridge back fit and we can get back to challenging for 4th. United have clawed back up, Arsenal will be coming back up as well. Far too early to tell what will happen for sure, but there will be plenty of change.

Maybe not at the very top, Paddy Power are paying out on Chelsea as champions already

zante you posted yourself you did great without Squarez
I said at the beginning of the season Liverpool would struggle

I said the demands of the CL would take its toll
and it has, Liverpool haven't the strength in depth and no way did they sign the right players, they squandered a lot of that money, on average at best players
Lambert was a panic buy

you got £70 million I think for him
which player that you bought has lifted your expectations
maybe a 20 bob player you wasted that money

reality check I think is required, just read back at some of your posts

my biggest error was saying Southampton would struggle
up to now I've been proved very wrong

on a positive I said Chelsea were awesome when you said not

I also said United couldn't be written off

1) I did because we did better statistically without Suarez, and Sturridge won us more points. Missing Sturridge has badly hurt us, Suarez has too but we'd have coped better with having Sturridge.

2) depth hasn't been the problem, our best side lost 3-0 to Madrid and our rotation squad lost 1-0. Just because we're struggling doesn't mean it's because of depth. Defensive errors have been more prominent and I don't think we've had our tactics quite right in any game. Lambert was mega cheap and he's now getting a chance, 2 in 2. I say he was a panic buy right at the start of the season is a joke.

3) we knew we were going to lose Suarez, if we hadn't sold him we'd only be getting to play him now and we'd be worse off than we are now. The players we've bought aren't going to replace Suarez, but given a season or two they will be useful players.

4) I just have and I predicted Chelsea for the title so you're wrong there. You said Arsenal had nailed down a champions league spot and I said I respected judgement on them because of a shoddy defence (there's another thing you've been wrong about), oh and Pardew was sacked two months ago according to you with Sunderland looking down at where they are. Whoops.

I wrote United off by putting them in 5th, they're precariously in 4th above a team with no manager by goal difference. They're out of the league cup, out of the premier league title chase and just going for the FA cup. I'd say they are way off what they hoped.

I know Liverpol are way off the pace, but we didn't think we'd be going for the title, and we're still in all other competitions (just about). So it's not all a disaster, nobody is going to nail down third/fourth. (I'm guessing Southampton do drop down over the whole season)

I said with CL Liverpool would struggle, they are
they haven't got quality in depth
that's a fact

it will get no easier the longer your in competitions
I will say now there isn't a chance you will be in the CL
next season, all you hear is Liverpool fans slating Stevie G and the keeper whatever next,

the problem is your defence is as poor as Man Utd at the moment, maybe stick Lambert in a centre half position
at least he may get games

Just because you slap the phase that's a fact on the end of whatever you say, doesn't mean whatever you say as your opinion then becomes fact.

Give me evidence of where we have struggled specifically because of the drop in quality of our squad depth. I would say we are outside the running for it right now, but all it will take is a decent head of steam to jump right back there (look at Newcastle).

I would agree there and add sometimes Rodger is too rigid and it is stagnating our attack (prime example last year vs Chelsea, when it should've been more of an approach that At. Madrid took). When teams put a strategy out that keeps us at bay, it seems to take far too long to adapt and the match goes by us.

You put your apostrophe in the wrong place in "'em", and you failed to add your second bracket. Please don't correct English when you have a tenuous grasp of the language at best!

Also - for your information, I'm a Raith Rovers fan! I'm not a glory boy!

same could be said about man city not liking to play sunderland either, they play so well against the big sides but are awful VS the smaller sides in the league..
