I understand that, but it should not matter. you all play the same teams (give or take the odd player that transfer etc), so just because pros batter one team and lose slightly to ups, but ups scrape a win against the team you batter and slightly beat you, then ups deserve to win?

I don't think it would matter most seasons, as usually the team that wins the most frames, also wins the most games etc.

im sure pros have won it twice actually in the fbl where we have lost a game but still won the league.

I know this has been discussed before, usually by Been, but the I feel the strongest team should win it

so the strongest team isnt the team that goes unbeaten ?

surely when u go unbeaten that means your team is pretty good.

What if Unbeatables sneaked every fixture by 1 or 2 points and went unbeaten but Pros won every fixture by 15-20 points apart from the Unbeatable fixture where they lost by one point. Wouldn't you say Pros were the better team?

surely if unbeatables beat pros no matter by how many points they win games by if they are unbeaten surely they are the best team in the league and havent been beaten?

I just think that the bonus points ruin the table a lot of the time.

yeah i dont want to see the fcl change .. this season we are going to have a close run title race

But their frame difference gets decimated by Pros... This is different to football we need more than one ranking system to make it work because of the flaws in a points table for something like this.

I generally don't care about the league anymore, I think it's become very amateur. However if we're going to continue it needs to be set up properly which if it came purely down to team wins then it wouldn't be.

i get what your saying i really do but ive always been a fan of if you go unbeaten you deserve to win the league even if that was at the expense of my own team. I called for it when snooker squad lost out to pros twice although i was happy the win i wasn't happy they had beat us and we still won

Yeah I know what you mean but sometimes the unbeaten team doesn't deserve it. As stupid as that sounds the amount of frames that are won by is significant IMO

If a football team went unbeaten all season but drew every game...they wouldn't win the league matty. May bare no relevance to this at all but hey

I agree with this, the team that wins the frames over the course of a season should surely win the game, not just how many they win over each 120 frame slot

well i was on about a team winning every game .. snooker squad twice won every game in a season yet lost the league :D

I think that was of thinking is flawed too, as it encourages teams to play all their best players against the lower teams, which would result in far too many whitewashes.

I think personally we should let sniper captain teams again .. he never folded a clan .. and did excellent as captain :)

Only the people who value team matches over frames will see any team in the FCL as undefeated. The way I see it, FCL counts frames, no one goes undefeated, every team loses games (frames). The results of single team matches shouldn't matter, that's what the Cup is for.

I'd like to remind everyone that SL and Cup already score by counting team match wins. FBL counts indiv match wins with no compromise, and yet FCL gets these compromising bonus points, so as to take a league that counts frames and turn it into a 3rd, yes, a third league that scores by counting team match wins!

also, FCL didn't always have bonus points, and even after that they used to be 10, not 20

and what's wrong with whitewashes?, wouldn't the team that can get the most prove themselves the best? I think so
and a team can't play their best 8 all the time or they'll end up with just 8

What's wrong with whitewashes? They make more clan players quit then any other factor on here. Your point scoring system is fantastic in a balanced league of similar ability, but putting clans like Underdogs to the sword with a bunch of 15 - 0's, 14 - 1's and 13 - 2's is damaging to the entire league, especially if it de-stabilises smaller clans. With team wins, captains at least have some encouragement to use their players that are usually back up players, or developing players.
