It wouldn't give an even playing field though, it would just be a random team winning every season. As Alan said, dropouts are the issue. A significant number of people would leave clans altogether for not playing with the friends they've made on here. Another amount would deactivate to join another clan that they want to be a part of.

It doesn't guarantee a competitive league (there were 5 clans competing, 4 of them with the chance of winning something, the other folded but were still having a big impact on the titles). There is the chance, and a big one, that the league becomes less competitive.

All it would do is break up established clans, have a random bunch of individuals winning each season and make the leagues less competitive than they are now. In the current clan climate it won't work.

It wouldn't benefit all, the lower clans would have players leave them and the higher clans would just be random each season. Plus the loss of active players would increase defaults. It would be better to stop clans folding, that
is more likely to benefit all.

To be fair to them, they have a great chance if running the killer cup if they get a good draw like in the semi's. No clan is indomitable in killer and it could well be a dark horse winning it against the top two clans.

I think SL will stay with the top two but outsiders can't be wrote off in that when it gets to the knockouts.

If Harry is still in the players champ he has the potential to win it. Heck if Erigert can win it then anyone can

I'd love to see a trial, give it a day before someone spits there dummy and leaves cause there on the same team as someone they don't like

If we did it as a completely different competition .. where as 8 people put their names down for captains .... and players OPT into the competition rather than be forced to play in the competition it is different ..for example so if we got 100 players to say yes ... then no captain gets any one choice of a player . you would then have to seed players and put them into pots like they do in the world cup draw .. obviously the big name players every team would only pick one out of that pot until it is back round to them

But then how would you seed players?

i guess you either seed them on fcl golden cue average ... or seed them on highest ranks ?

I am just thinking on the serial resetters, or 'newbies', could skew the seeding process.

maybe common sense could prevail ? .. we all know who people are so lets say fran deactivates gets a new game and plays no ranks but everyone knows who he is .. he would be in said pot based on what people know surely ?

I don't disagree that common sense should prevail, we all know frans abilities. But say someone like emz deacs, stays away for a little while, then comes back on a new name, no one apart from a select few would probably know it was her. (Just an example in case she reads this )

But quite frankly .. do i think the likes of beenjammin, dvz and others would want to play under a different captain ? i can't see it happening myself.

you build up a relationship with your team .. 6 seasons now ive played alongside beenjammin,dvz, scott7a, miss_harriet , _redherring_ i know how they work they know how i work ..they know that im fair with games and just because they are some of the best on the game i try and spread games out evenly and fairly and that has cost us sometimes but thats the game .

I do not think they would want to play alongside others, I know that i would put my name down for captain but wouldnt be 100% comfortable with players i dont really want :S

not gona lie if i had 8 strongish players and a few weaker players i would probably nurse the weaker players home by hardly playing them. Especially since there would be no loyalty to them i am loyal to the players I RECRUIT.

It would be the same for any loyal players, although there is very few in clans. I don't want to play for anyone else but it would be interesting to see how a trial pans out

Craig, Ash, Joe and tratter in the same team would be good, with matty as captain

I don't feign loyalty to anyone and I openly admit I like to change teams each season. There's always a reason I want to play for a particular team normally the people in the team. If that was taken away I wouldn't participate simple as...
