Near impossible getting a normal game on here,site seems obsessed with tournaments-so much so that people seem to be on here 24/7 literally just getting tournapoints to top the daily,weekly and monthly table(the same people are up the top as usual this month). Not even a skill topping the tables,if you've got enough time anyone can do it. Having to wait over ten minutes for a game is ridiculous. Its becoming a turn off. Somebody needs to put the fun back into funkypool and cut the tournament schedule down.

It was better when the tourneys were unranked, as people reset less, because they get double points for tourneys.

Also, if tourneys were unranked, to improve your rank, you would have to play normal games to improve your rank.

Less tournaments! Go back to one an hour, on the hour. Scrap the micros. Tournaments to be unranked to promote normal ranked games.

Sites dying a death and doesn't seem to be much being done to rectify this.

either micros need to be made non tournapoints and have highest ranking on all games except killer wiped or need to stop tournaments being ranked and have the ranking system go back to way it was.... i vote for latter

As there are 12,563 active members it would take quite a considerable amount of time and effort to initiate the above! Additionally what would be the required percentage of active members to take part and cast a qualifying vote?

I agree that there are too many tournaments, particularly micros. It was as previously mentioned better when tournaments were on the hour!

To say there are 12k+ active members is a fallacy, 12k+ 'registered' members, yes. I have never seen more than 100 on the site, and that is usually around the time of the mega tournaments.

The people who get to vote should be the people who are on here the most, ie the people who matter to the site.

But I seriously feel that going back to unranked tourneys will promote the playing of normal games. With or without a vote, the admin should take note of that.

Why would it? Assuming the same number of players play the same number of tournaments then there would be the same number of players playing normal (by which I assume you mean ranked) games.

I do agree that Micro tournaments should lose the TournaPoints to focus that challenge more on the main tournaments. However they should stay as full weighted ranked games as they offer genuine competition against random opponents.

I also agree with those who feel the ranking high tables should have been reset at the time Ranked tournaments were brought in. I still think that could be done now as long as the existing tables could be preserved somewhere separate.

Apart from that, the ranking system has more credibility now than it ever did before the change was made.

The tournament schedule does require an overhaul though and the monthly 'larger' tournaments should gain more recognition if they are to be the welcome and positive addition that they ought to be.

Agree with most of this. Only thing is that I enjoyed when tournies became ranked as there was a lot of people higher than what they should of been. I do understand that it has affected normal ranked games. But normal ranked games is where people would cheat more.

Go back to hourly tournaments, lose tournapoints from micros and bring the old 8 ball table out of the shed and I will buy premium

it seems micros have been removed and its now 1 hour tournaments . I personally liked micros as sometimes I don't have the time to play tournaments .

What makes me laugh is the people who don't like micros seemed to always be in them lol . Well most anyways :)

I feel at least have 2 micros per hour to allow others to compete if they miss out in getting in the tournaments.

I wasn't totally against micros. They are ok if your only on for a few mins. Only make them friendly and no tournapoints. In fact just do away with tournapoints. Pointless diabolical joke they are.

Agree with getting rid of tournament points . Bring back 2 micros per hour I say .

i miss micros so i want them bac when u get up as early as me 1 tourney an hr is pointless where as micros gave me something to do and if u dont bring back micros put tourneys bac to normal times so i know when to come in cos it is getting very boring to me

id say put em in on mornings - afternoons even if friendly as early people have absolute nothing left

There should be a few Micros

All Ranked - but no TournaPoints

And not necessarily limited to 8 players - just give a small window to join and go with however many enter.
