The likes of Papadopoulous and Shaqiri we've got tabs on. Brilliant players, very young but already experienced.
Teixera, Ibe, Brannagan, etc. all look like decent prospects well worth a punt (A few other bright prospects, but not ready for first team action yet). Add in Sterling and Flanagan breaking into the startling line up, I think we aren't looking too bad.
They did get to the semi's of the youth league after all so they can't be that bad

I thought a Sunderland fan of all people would appreciate the failures of writing a team off. Apparently not.
Never said they do, but our team would've been a lot weaker without the contributions of Sterling and Flanagan. If we won the league, it would have been in part due to them. Without them we could have ended up lower in the table.
2 games a week gives us good rotation, for the signings that we do bring in and the youth players that get a chance it will only make us stronger. Unless you are suggesting that if you don't have a big squad now, then you can't possibly cope even if you do get a quality one.
Again I'll reiterate, Arsenal had their strongest part of the season when they had 2 games a week. They eventually fell short, but when they went back to 1 game a week they were weaker. It doesn't really mean that much, a couple of seasons ago it benefited us well because our players had started the season early and had better fitness. So it goes both ways.

arsenals weve won champions league im not that bothered bout it more bothered bout league as wevve never won it in name only and may be fa cup or carling cup but see what we do with money we get but got to sort out defenders getting back faster and not leaving to much space
We need a few strikers? you do realise we have the best attack in the league
We need a back up striker that can play rotation (like Aspas last summer). Aspas was decent until he had an injury, if we can get him in form he'll be perfect for what we need but I think we'll get someone else in. After he came back from injury he was benched and had no real confidence, hasn't looked good enough for the prem.
I don't think we have too many holding midfielders, we have Gerrard and Lucas. You could argue for Allen and Henderson but they don't play that deep anymore. Henderson is a box-to-box sort and Allen plays more advanced than a DM, or on the left. I think wingers are needed, maybe a marquee signing in attack. But the defence needs the major work. Though the beauty of what Rogers is getting at is versatility, and that is where he has us excelling.
Silverware is not a problem, because we don't want silverware over champions league. The league and Champions League are the main things, the FA cup and League cup aren't good enough for what we want. Would you rather be in Liverpool's position or Arsenal's?

Arsenal had 2 quality players for each position poor team to use
the one team who has consistently brought youth through second only to barca
been a season ticket holder since i was 8 years of age
nothing Sunderland do or don't do never surprises me
its just another day in the life of a Sunderland supporter
ive coached football for over 24 years now
id say speak to your manager Brendan Rogers to submit your plan to the board
i know what he would say
Liverpool are a sleeping giant and have been lost in the football wilderness for to long, this season they have exceeded more than any Liverpool fan could ever have dreamed of
now keep your feet on the floor and be realistic
champions league football the Premier league and cups next season will be far out of reach without a mega investment in players
as for Sunderland we also will need a massive investment in players just to finish in the top 10

you need a min 8 competent defenders
you aint got 4
and your going into the champions league
come on think about it
kellys a top player who hasnt been given a chance under rogers either play him or send him on loan or sell him same with other players hes not gonna use loan them out or sell them pointless keeping them if ur only gonna use same squad weeki in week out
well the fact that you know the name Shearer suggests that the "also rans" do go down in history when they're good players. A lot more well known than some of the players who won things Shearer didn't.
I wouldn't say a full defence, we have players out that could come back in and we have decent youth coming through. We do need 2-3 signings in defence and maybe get rid of a couple to keep things fresh, but I don't think it's a case of completely new defence.

Lallana deal is supposed to be highly likely, I've heard he's snubbed united and wants to play for Liverpool. Now we just need Shaw. Lambert might be a good shout, but with his age he might just value first team football. We need a poacher, but he might not fit into the system.

Papadopoulous cant get in schalke team shaqhiri wheres he gonna play if sterling coutinho play it be like alberto other players left in reserves bench not given a chance need to know there gonna play for them to sign

He can't get in because they tend not to play injured players at Schalke
Shaqiri can play on the wing, we need someone to play for rotation or we end up with Allen and Lucas on the wings when we play 442 diamond.

No, he brought Sturridge because he fits into the system. Lambert wouldn't have the legs or the speed. Without Sturridge we wouldn't be top four I'd say. Without Suarez at the start of the season he was vital and he's scored some important goals.
Would much rather have Sturridge than Lambert, the 8 ish years between them is enough even if they were currently level on goals. We could get another 10 years out of Sturridge if we don't sell him, we wouldn't get 3 out of Lambert. Sturridge has scored plenty and nearly rivalled Suarez at one point
