surely if ur capatin sometimes have 2 vices surely one can be online for deadline day i hate rule anyone can be subbed in on deadline day makes no point haveing a captain

but idea of posting who can make subs is a good idea on ur team list

And as long as your clan members understand that then all's good. Other clans will no doubt want to do it differently which should be up to them.

Agreed Zac,but in are case he posted the day before deadline for none of his players to play any games,even if thay was ask to play.
and we both had eligible players online.
it was all a tacical manoviour so he could have his best players on on deadline day. we begged him and thantos to plz play your games .but it was a no. LOL A Joke.

I do think the runners need to look at the rules as they can be abused and Im not singling Ash out here.

Single me out i don't care, I did nothing wrong...match got played at the same time as scheduled and i were unavailable. No one from the opposition would be moaning if they'd won, instead suffered an 8-0 loss enforcing a 35-21 win...all good. The team won not me.

I think no matter what rules a put in place there is never going to be a solution to any 'tactical' decisions whilst we all play behind screens as no on ever knows the true reason. Ash don't take it the wrong way but I know my players and I trust everything they say, althought I am by no means biased. However a good example to reinforce what I was saying, it did look a little coincedental and dodgy with the swap (Ash) made on deadline day. I'm not saying it was a tactical decision, but when a said player chases you up 3 times or so and you don't play alarm bells do ring. However there may have been a genuine reason of which could have been 100% viable and so there was no need for any unnecessary nonesense.

I hate this rule about players subbing in last day as it should be down to captains and vices for both clans to make subs if games need to be played .

tactical play involving teams leaving fixtures till deadline to get them played is where the problem is

the rule about anyone playing and subbing in is pure dumb
it encourages top teams to leave games then force teams or even coheres people into playing

how many times have games been left till deadline with him or her saying its there fault its his fault

people being put in at the last moment to get a game played,

the solution i put forward many seasons ago and was scorned on by the usual serial nonsense posters

don't give a bonus for completing a fixture give it for finishing it early

for example

finish on deadline day
0 points
1 day before
1 point etc
2 days before
2 points

1 week before 10 points

may need tweaking but the idea i believe is sound
encourage games to be played early

how many times do players say im not playing in the first week its all over threads, sub them out then and put people in who can be flexible

top teams seem to be in charge here, leaving games to be played till deadline so forcing lower teams to put anyone in against them

how many top teams don't seem to have players online throughout the fixture
then booom out of he blue come deadline day there all on
play me play me, you make a sub or a swap

Something like this could work, but there is a flaw to this. It's all well giving bonus points to fixtures that are finished early, but the bonus can be interfered by opposing teams i.e. the bonus is not completely controlled by your own clan. Points in recent seasons have been relatively close and these bonuses could potentially change the standings.

For example, Snooker Squad are look like they are going to win the league, but Professionals are very close behind. What's to say that foul play behind the scenes means that whoever is playing SS may delay the completion of fixtures to help Pros win the league.

At least with the current system the system aims to reduce defaults and games can be played anytime within a 2 week period. If you are going to award teams for finishing early, then what's the point of a deadline? For one reason or other people may not be able to play in the first week, seems unfair that the whole team is penalised even when the deadline is set at 2 weeks.

That would never work Craig, it will only cause more trouble than it's worth, with players feeling more pressurized in to playing for the sake of a few more points. Points available should and only be that which is obtainable in the fixture itself. Players will play when they are fit and ready, whole point in having a deadline.

Maybe their could be some added Captain bonuses of some sort but nothing silly.

a) They were browsing on their fone
b) The opponent thanatos was due to play was not online either!!
