Well what a crap game was fighting the balls in most games..
8us i fouled black twice 1 of them i had a feeling but the other i didnt have a clue..
9us The white stuck to the black so i couldnt see the 6 ball he then cleared.. then last frame he went for a 3-9 combo it hit the jaws rolled across the table in fell in other pocket.
8uk Taking a few visits to the table to clear apart from 1 where i got a 7ball.

It was 1 of those games that if something could go wrong it did go wrong..

Playing pretty well today, was in control for most of the match especially through the US games, should of really had all the 9 ball games but jawed the 9 in the 3rd from an easy plant should of hit it harder but dint plan on missing it lol, the 8us runout was probably the best ive ever hit tbh, good stuff.

8uk was scrappy, lost the first frame where he made a nice clear, then a few fouls from both in the next 1, had a really good runout chance yellows in the open 3 left, but cudnt decide where to put the white, with time ticking away i over hit it and snookered myself, doh!

not sure i've mentioned my views on the stupidest table ever made! I know its not been changed since the dawn of time but its about time it was

Whilst I fully appreciate the sentiment to move on, it does seem a shame to do that without clarifying a few things first since there is the question over whether those making the decisions are 'stupid (offence intended)'.

Having quoted the default guidelines twice previously this is what information was provided and available at the time the decision was made.

r1p0m4n - two messages were provided that showed you contacted your opponent on the second Thursday and on the second Sunday (deadline day). Nothing else. Therefore there was no evidence of any effort to play the game in the first 11 days of the 14 day fixture period although an exchange with the opponent on your clan thread was noted on the second Wednesday and also taken into account.

pirate_steve - one message was provided that showed you contacted your opponent on the second Friday. Also provided were three posts on the opposition's thread. The first being on the second Monday of the fixture period. Nothing else. Therefore there was no evidence of any effort to play the game in the first 8 days of the 14 day fixture period.

In both cases therefore, at the time the decisions were made, there was no evidence of any effort to play the game during at least 50% of the fixture period.



foxy147 - two messages were provided that showed rapid_pot contacted his opponent on the second Friday and the second Sunday (deadline day). Nothing else. Therefore there was no evidence of any effort to play the game in the first 12 days of the 14 day fixture period.

As per the guidelines, default points are scored for each team/player based on the information provided that goes towards evidencing continuous, ongoing and visible effort to get a game played. No anecdotal evidence will be considered as invariably it simply cannot be verified.

Defaults are not desirable for the simple reason they are virtually impossible to deal with accurately, rely on evidence submitted and cause discontent. If anyone reads the above and still feels those making the decisions were 'stupid' so be it.

Thanks for explaining the defaults. The problem I have is that the defaults seem to have been made in a simple black and white fashion and don't even make sense side by side (well to me, anyway).

From the raw facts that the default team were given, I have made 100% of the effort in this fixture. Yes, I didn't post on their thread until the Monday, but no effort from the other parties. Similarly, r1p0m4n has also made 100% of the effort in their fixture.

Now myself and r1p0m4n have both been awarded a 6 - 0 win. You've acknowledged yourself that we both put in varying amounts of effort. How have we been awarded the same result when I showed more effort? (I made effort in the final 6 days, him in the final 3). How does that make sense?

You said that points are awarded for continuous, ongoing effort. Fair enough. But I send one message, my opponent doesn't sign on and so doesn't see this message. I could send an arbitrary amount of messages to them, but if they don't see the message from not signing on, what is the point?

Are the default team really saying that in order to show maximum effort we need to send our opponents a message every single day for the whole fixture until it does/n't get played?

I hope that everyone involved in making the default decision has had it clarified to them as well that the idea that "the game could've been played early on" was false as I mentioned in my last message to you?
We had an active opponent in pirate's game for a grand total of 40 hours.
In r1p0m4n's game, the opponent was inactive almost the entire time with 8 days being the high point offline.

The difference between sending one message to an inactive player and 5 messages to an inactive player is negligible as pirate explained.
