well am guessin ya can somehow retrieve info on messages sent and replied to, to come to a decision about defaults, therefore lack of response or inactivity enforces a substitiution........i think lol

The only way i can get that information is if the captain asks their player for it for the defaults. They do become a factor in default decisions though yes

in my wee world i thot that mods would relay info on messages as they would have access to ensure fact based???.......give em summit to do lol

so how is what captains tell you is 100% true proven?

Well i dont think mods have the power to check players offline messages, i doubt admin do either actually. Nine times out of ten both players send in messages and they match up so it is clear to see it is the truth.

Most also show posts made on threads about messages being sent and they can be matched up

Not all information comes from the captains 90% of it comes from the actual players involved. Captains fill the other 10% with the likes of sub requests and other things.

if there isn't 1, there should be maybe a 5 day response time to messaging. would hopefully make defaults less frequent.
shouldn't be a problem for players that WANT to get games played.

Only problem with that is that what if someone cant get on pool for 5 days or whatever the limit you'd want to put on it for whatever reason. Because a fixture is 2 weeks it's entirely plausible for a player to be offline for that length of time if something does crop up, therefore i dont think there could be a suitable time limit you could put on it

Anybody that likes to get banned and create new names to join the league with probably isn't going to be willing to sit around on that account for a month let alone two, so i figure a 1 month rule was and would be sufficient.

also i missed the scrapping of the rule which meant that captains had to receive permission from other captains to post names of players that joined their clan previous to the end of a season. This was something which i thought useful and only benefited the league?

surely most people have access to funky via phone and can check messages. not that difficult to check and reply to get sorted

i think there should be a rule on subbing , when a player is offline for 7 days should be subbed out . i feel this would reduce defaults .

I think there should be a rule on ones that dont sub.. When waiting nearer deadline is a joke lols..

I did ask for a civil thread im sure but even i had to laugh at that post Lee, you want that rule but you failed to sub out players offline 7+ days on a few occasions and then all blame went on the opposing clan. Hmmm.

It is something i quite like myself to be fair and i think i could and would implement it as it would cut down defaults i think. I may also make this in to some kind of rule for team sheets to as some people have been known to put a player in a game when they are a week + offline which i think is rather weird, and then they wonder why a sub is asked for minutes after the game is released.

Think the rule of not naming players for your next season team if they are already in a clan should be brought back.
Simply as 3 times recently I have seen my players name on different clan sheets and im like???? lol. Think the clan captains should be told especially as the season is currently still going.

To be fair its a rubbish way to find out when you just see your players name in another list. However I would prefer to know that they were going as soon as rather than just at the end of the season when I could have been looking for replacements for a few weeks.

I actually think the rule being removed was a step forward!
