I actually had a message last week i think it was (can't remember who from) They told me as i own and run the league(s) that i should be promoting the leagues to attract even more players.
I was like are you serious, i guess they want me to pay some random sites like facebook and what ever to put an add on their site to attract people to the clan leagues

true, my idea was to try and get a correct ranking.
You could do it based on the win so would be 1 frame(e.g. Pros 61-59 Angry, would be pros getting rank). Two Halves (31-29 then 29-31 even though it would be a draw it is based on mini sessions). or even 4 Quarters (same as Halves but every 30 frames not 60).
If you did it on 1 frame then in case of a tie (60-60) the rank would be unaffected (or could do it so whoever got to 60 first their rank is calculated first then second team. second team would be at a slight advantage though)

Don't think it's the league runners job to attract players to clans either but feels that bringing in something that would potentially make it harder for clans would not be great.

After thinking about the sub rule that i implemented earlier last week i have decided against the idea now. It will be removed in due course from the hidden website. I will be adding a restriction on the swapping of games though and this will be restricted to one swap per fixture.
I have came to the conclusion that defaults are the one thing that need to be nipped in the bud as best as we can, i think a restriction on the number of subs made in a fixture should be restricted and wondered what others think - if you think there should be then what would be your max restriction number on the subs per fixture?
Since i began the running of the league i have kept a copy of the default totals during the seasons which i will post below to give people a rough idea of how things have been going. Unfortunately thanks to the older site not letting me on to look at it we have lost the first season's defaults total and somehow it is no longer on my spreadsheet (i do know that in that season FCL recorded their lowest ever default number in many seasons as did the FBL)
Season 17: 42 Fixtures where played and in that time there was 27 defaults in total (Was two divisions back then)
Season 18: The season that has just finished there was a total of 36 fixtures played and in that time there was 12 defaults in total.

This proves that something is being done right, the no restrictions on the subs helped in the season 18 of course. This is one reason that my idea on restricting the subs is only an idea.

Don't think there should be any restrictions on subs or swaps. The fixture is one clan against another so as long as eight players from clan A play eight players from clan B then what does it matter which players it is. It would entirely be at each of the clans captains whim who can play.
Swap players around, sub players out, it's all about how many a clan can score and not the individual at the end of the fixture. If one captain see fit to make a swap for no valid reason then the other captain can just swap it back. Any restrictions will lead to more defaults. Captains inability to provide good default info means that the result from the panel isn't a true reflection a fair amount of the time.

What about this stupid rule about not needing a captains permission on deadline day?
Sinners will just avoid players like seb till deadline day and badger someone to sub in if that is introduced.
The player being badgered to play will feel forced to do it as refusing would count against the team at defaults.

Refusing to sub out a totally active player in most cases is not taken seriously when coming to defaults if the information submitted is all correct and shows activity and messages.
Will look at it though, but many like it due to the fact that even captains can not be online all the time like Vice captains can not either, the pro's out weight the cons i think but that is only my opinion.
I think naming clans on the discussion and the topic you are saying about mate should be kept off the thread as it will no doubt have replies coming to it soon from the clan you are pointing out.

Captains can post permission if they want people to sub into games, there isn't any need for this rule.
Sorry for being honest but everyone else plays the leagues in the right spirit.

A lot of captains get hung up on, we had x amount of players on final day. I think this should be removed entirely from the default decision. If a player agrees a certain tim on the last day but doesn't show/ refusals to play then of course include that in the decision but any subs made or available taken completely out of the decision. If you can't provide enough info from 13 days then you haven't done enough full stop. Every default now is I had this many people looking to sub in, so what?! You should have had them subbed in earlier if you want points.

Exactly right onevisit^^
You make the sub and let players arrange a game properly, the games are supposed to be fun and for it to be fun for both players it has got to be at a time they have arranged, not one player being forced to play because the other team have someone online.
It annoys me more than anything players being subbed out that have been online and trying to get the game done for most of the fixture but havent had anyone to arrange the game properly with.

I'll post this here instead of the clan page currently being used to talk about it.
mattywellie & the__priest
The non playing captain thing was declined by FCL and FBL because the captain has to be named on the actual team roster so they can make subs and what ever else. This won't change just so you know.

I know someone that asked a while back about being a non registered captain and was told that wouldnt be a problem, its been done in the past and that person did all the normal captain stuff and when a space in their clan became available they registered again.
