How do you suppose the system would recognise this, and in a way in which it is being said in a unsportsmanlike manner?

Simple any gg wp etc before the end result.

people can say it accidentally you know, so if your on 99 run about to pot for 100 and accidentally press gg or say it when you won at 35, i don't think its fair do you?

but it isn't always malicious, and you get unsportmanship in games, imo, it's part of funky, and you need to use your mental strength to ignore it

Since there is no actual "gg" button, I do wonder how you would accidentally type the 'g' twice and then hit enter...

Some people, when they believe the game is over already have gg wp typed in the chat bit, and my accidentally press enter.

ive done it in the past when i thought it was over but wasn't but i always apologise for it so the opponent knows i didn't mean to say it as an incentive to put him off

I have done it too myself, and if I know it has put my opponent off I will let them back in, end of the day it is just a game rather have fun and lose than be all angry etc and win.

No-one seems to be distracted or annoyed when someone says 'gs' so why is a 'gg' so different...

Because that generally implies (on this website anyway) that the game is finished

Its not distracting. At all. I find it a compliment that they believe I cant lose from the position I'm in. The earlier they say it, the more flattering it is

Often your right, I have said it before without doing the math on the snooker table, opponents missed and had a fissy fit about it.... Calm down m8 I said and deliberately missed.

Point is: its not always said to cause upset!

I agree its unsporting, but lets educate our opponents not have a paddy!

Point is, it's a small thing, in comparison to the fact you wont even be able to play the game if the servers keep booting people.

no whinging here, my net was down for 2 days recently so even the server doesn't bother me anymore as im glad to be back online

I will say what i said before, if sum1 says "gg" to me mid frame i just reply gg wp u can leave now if u want.

I don't think peope say it to put u off, i have a few peeps that try pming me jus be4 a shot that is loads more distracting as it causes a slight bit of lag for me anyway, if im in the middle of my shot it will underhit it now that gets on my nerves!

Let people say what they like. If anybody lets these 2 letters build up so much pressure that they bottle their clearance, i think they need their head checking.
