ok, so what do you need from me? 2 players for each of the 4 game types?

Example fixture
The Professionals vs Snooker Squad
Killer
horse10000/scott7a vs jose_enrique/dgeneratio
mattywellie/cphaynes vs sarny_lad/lethal_lures
fuunky/onevisit vs crazy_greg/deitch
each Killer match is 2 games
Non-Killer - 8 Ball, 9 Ball & 8UK
horse10000 vs deitch
scott7a vs sarny_lad
beenjammin vs whocares8x8
dvz vs lethal_lures
onevisit vs _redherring_
mooney vs cphaynes
In this example some of the Killer pairs have stayed together for the non-Killer games whilst others havent.
Each non-Killer game is 9 racks - 3 each of 8, 9 & UK (The Players Championship Format without bonuses). The scores of each pair are added together to give a pairs result over 6 frames for each game type.

I really don't understand how this works, but saying that I said the same for TCL at the start last time and got used to it. I'm not one of those who's for/against change, this really doesn't bother me, I just don't understand
So for killer, you will be sent a list of nominated pairs who will play together in the killer? It's not the same as other clan killer where any 2/3 online at the time can play?
And just using your example:
''horse10000/scott7a vs jose_enrique/dgeneratio
mattywellie/cphaynes vs sarny_lad/lethal_lures
fuunky/onevisit vs crazy_greg/deitch
each Killer match is 2 games''
Does this mean each pair (i.e. horse10000/scott7a vs jose_enrique/dgeneratio) will play 2 games of killer one after the other?
I'm confused with the scoring aswell, but haven't got how it works to hand at the moment

Not with the scoring no, but with the killer yes, otherwise I'll find myself trying to persuade us or our opponents to play someone else in killer when they can't, if that's the case.
And I'll need to know going into a killer whether I'm going to be playing 1 or 2 games, some of them take weeks to finish . Got other things to do sometimes

You dont have to - but it helps.
The fixture starts with nominated pairs with nominated opponents. Bearing in mind there will be a season long Ranking Table for players some may wish to build established doubles partnerships.
That said subs and swaps can be made to assist in getting games played.
If you have a Killer game in play then it would make sense to play both your games back to back where possible.
At any stage players can also agree to play a 2v1 or even a 1v1 Killer game rather than leaving it unplayed.

Okay, so for example me and you have to play killer with serious_game/turtle1560, and only us can play in that, because they were the players chris was sent? And we have to play 2 games, but don't have to play both one after the other as long as they're played in time?
Or can any 2 players play from each team, but the same 4 players have to play the second game? That's what I'm getting at lol

how would you do 1 vs 1 without an assistant? a game of 8US and keep tabs on lives?
just curious

Ahh we posted at the same time . Ok that's cleared things up a bit. Yes it does make sense to establish a good killer partnership, and it also makes sense to play 2 games one after the other. But sometimes people haven't got the time to do that, but that's something for when the season starts and I'm sure 2 will get done the same day/night in most cases

And how do you get a draw in killer? Surely the player that wins the killer wins the points for the pair? Regardless of where his/her teammate finished

The game is set up with a League Runner who must be first to play but leave the room before breaking off. That leaves the two players free to commence with a normal break off I believe.
Any one could also do the League Runner role as long as it was done properly as per the above.

If your pair wins the first and your opponents win the second thats a 1-1 draw and one point each, otherwise it will be 2-0.

True but in the case that no runner was online or no one willing to sacrifice a loss?
just trying to cover all bases

Ahh I see. I was reading this off the website and didn't understand:
''Each match won by a pair in Killer games and each Game Type won by a pair in Non-Killer games scores two points for their clan in the appropriate fixture. Each pair receives one point for a draw in a Killer or a Non-Killer Game Type.''
So if my partner and I win both games of killer, we'll get 1 point for each, plus 2 points = 4 - 0? Otherwise we'd have lost 0 - 4, or drawn 3 - 3 altogether? (If we won and lost one game)

No thats fine - would rather try and clear up confusion early doors. Once its started though I think players will see its a lot more straightforward that it seems from just reading posts.
