You now owe mum £49, dad £49 so £49 + £49 = £98 & your £1 makes £99 so where is the missing £1?

A rich man had just finished counting his money and then walked out of his room and left a £50 note on the table. When he returned it was gone. The only people who knew about the money were him, the maid and the butler.

He asked the maid if she had seen the money. She said she found it and put it under a book to keep it safe. When they looked the money wasn't there.

He then asked the butler. He said he
put it between pages 32 and 33, to make sure it was safe.

When the man opened the book and looked, it wasnt there. The man knew straight away who stole the money and phoned the police.
