What if a player leaves then realises they could get booted out so tries to get the fixture completed but fails before the deadline ?
Or tries to get it completed but their captain uses a sub to finish on deadline day ?

Would you boot the player out ?

As long as he trys and shows he is trying game would go to default as normal.

A good captain would know if player is trying or not so option 2 would be the captains call but he would know the fate of his player if he subbed.

Regarding the Individual League.

I have been sitting thinking on this since last night and well i have seen mixed reactions on the ideas given. Chris is going ahead with his idea (Can't remember the full details about it) as i have asked him to but i think maybe keep the way it is now to, so have them both there, there was going to be two anyway as dgeneratio was going to do his one while Chris did his.

I and staff will try to keep it up to date daily when results come in so there should be a up to date table for everyone to see and im sure Chris will update atleast every few days on his one

What do people think?

aslong as i win them both i dont care lol

On a serious note i dont have a clue what chris's idea is i remember him saying summit about helping "lower skilled" players which i dont think is the way to go.

i like the individuals atm but we need to play everyone, why not very simple keep the leagues 8us, 9us, 8uk and straight. Then take the top 2 from each group, so u have 8 players like a micro then play 5 of each 8 us, 9 us, 8 uk and 2 of straight. Thats 17 games slighty more than a FCL but a gud true test over the game types.

Straight knock out cup competition involving all players across the three FCL game types. It doesnt help 'lower skilled' players as such and the best should still win. But importantly it does give more hope to a 'lower skilled' player of causing an upset, or alternatively being lucky in the open cup draws each round and avoiding the 'top' players.

question chris would game modes be like

Rounds - 1 frame of US, UK, 9 Ball
QF & SF - 3 frames of US, UK, 9 Ball
Final - 5 frames of US, UK, 9 Ball

or would it be like consistent throughout?

Consistent. 3 of each to share the breaks as breaking off might provide the 'levelling' factor!!

Im not going to change the format i have in mind this season - but if it went to a second season then anyone is free to input ideas to improve it.

not point doing it if it not like the FA cup one game knock out so the lower players have a chance
loads people just think about their self s on here one tournament will not kill you all
give a chance to the lower player u was all their one day

Rick, really? all you go on about is the lower players, well sorry to be the barer of bad news there is over 180 clan members on this site i need to take into consideration every single one not just the "lower players" mate.

anoneeemouse and myself have been speaking and sad to announce that as of next season she will not be helping out with league running due to other commitments and things so she has asked to be removed. Good luck Sarah hun.

3 of each sounds like a decent format, chris. Well worth a try.

There are insurmountable problems to an open draw like time zone differences but we will see how it goes.

I understand it now Chris and it certainly does sound interesting . Can give you access to the new site when ever you need it mate, have already added your name to Individual League Runner.

With the above being said i have decided that the normal Individual League that consists of 8US, 9US, 8UK and Straight will also stay next season, so there will be two Individual Leagues.

We have the same concept on snooker for the past 2 seasons. You'll have lots of defaults the first 2 rounds, after that, almost all players remaining are active.

if the old one stays you need stricter deadlines as clearly the 3 months one we currently have doesn't work

What do you propose James? not really keen on a fixture layout though

I know it would take time by the runners but why not actually set this up by fixtures during the season..so many games (a vs b) etc to be played per fixture set. Then if its not done 0-0 and game has been played by that scoring.

maybe a month or two deadline but 3 is too relaxing as i myself has done this season, i admit i would wait until half the season is done before arranging games (teammate i would play first to make sure) then i find myself rushing at the end, would be good if it was stricter so people would actually try to play. (e.g. 2 weeks per fixture in league solves that) so a set deadline but not too long

So basically something like a 2 months deadline on the individual league (old one) and players must play their team mates within the first week of the season starting? or first 2 weeks

yeah also if they don't play a minimum of 5 games in the first month then they should be removed as it shows that they aren't trying
