2 games a week means that it would be a deadline of 3 days.. not everyone will meet this..

leave it as is.. i will see you in about 7 weeks eemad

I can do 2 games a week, but can others??

Sorry, your right. I got it in my head there would be 13 steps.
1 game a week would then be 6 weeks?, but only if noone else joins

One game a week would be 6 steps; 2 games a week would obviously halve that, but the idea in mind would be...

Idea said:
...three players per step, with two players in the top step. With 13 players, that would be 2+3+3+3+2, a total of 5 steps, with 4 weeks to get to the top. In short, promotion and relegation would be each player on each step plays the others, the top player goes up, the bottom player goes down, and the middle player stays put. Meanwhile, the top step would contain just two players who play each other once, the winner stays put and the loser goes down.

Current setup said:
Two players per step, with one player in the top step. With 13 players, that would be 1+2+2+2+2+2+2, a total of 7 steps, with 6 weeks to get to the top. Potential promotion and relegation is each player on each step plays a player on adjacent step, the winning player staying/moving up, the losing player staying/moving down. Meanwhile, the top step contains just one player who always plays someone on step 2.

i like the idea... its like a mini group on each step

would need points for and against though, incase of tie on points

Wouldnt the newer idea actually make it take about 7 games instead of 6? I take it we'd have to play both people who share our step? Or did i get that wrong? lol

I think the original idea is better to be honest. If people are reliable it'll only take a few days to get games done, and only a few week to get the order in the ladder right! If they aren't, well, then simply kick them out

Based on the setup and the number of players I described above, 4 weeks, and 8 games, with 2 games a week.

LOL! But ya, although it's confusing, once it gets going it will iron itself out.

I think I'm going to get all the replies to my invitations that I'm gonna get; I haven't checked who's been online and not replied. When do we want to start?

And Christmas is coming! Do you all want a week off for that? I recommend it...!

Nope, it's not 0.99999999999999, because you have too few zeroes. And that's the first part of the explanation

Basic algebrea.

x = 0.9999999 (recurring)
10x = 10*0.99999999 (recurring)
10x = 9.99999999999 (recurring)
10x - x = 9.999999999 (recurring) - 0.9999999999 (recurring)
9x = 9
x=1.

Therefore 0.9999 (recurring) = 1
