Just to repeat, this differs from last week's positions only in terms of the players who have played; non-playing players are unmoved.

Next, decisions on unplayed games:
tinie (3) vs eggfriedrice (4) - absolutely no reason why this couldn't have been played. Tempted to relegate them both a level, or to put tinie to Level 4 and have them play a relegation game; both of these would have had the same result after Week 8 in that the winner would be on Level 4 and the loser on Level 5. I think that, instead, they'll stay on the same steps of the ladder but both face challenges from lower opposition, namely w_hoolahan and chris who both won their games in Week 7. Also, the winner of this game would have been playing beenjammin for a place on Rung 2; instead, dunkyfunk (who lost and got relegated to Level 3) gets the chance to spring right back up instead. A new rule will come into force regarding unplayed games.

theukspoon (6) vs 9ballsniper1 (7) - this isn't the first time this fixture wasn't played. Dunno why it's in trouble again. The winner was due to play punkpoet, so instead they'll play each other again, they will be subject to the new rule, and punkpoet will play me. Also, the loser will go down to Level 7 and have a bye next week, and I should have been due to play the winner of cke1982 vs junster333, but not now, for reasons we shall now see.

cke1982 (7) vs junster333 (8) - three games in a row missed by these two players, and I have no choice but to exclude them both. That's the way it goes. They can request to join again, and they will be added at the bottom if admitted. This sucks cajanka, who hasn't been online for 21 days, up to Level 7 from Level 8.

To summarise:
1) no changes in position for in fixtures in the cases of tinie vs eggfriedrice and theukspoon vs 9ballsniper1;
2) cke1982 vs junster333 are both out.

New rule
If a fixture is unplayed, and if no reasons are given before the deadline by either player, or if no communication is made with me either through the message system or on the forum, then both players face relegation down a level. Other players will be promoted as necessary to replace them.

Level 3: D, E
Level 4: F

A (1) vs B (2)
C (2) vs D (3)
E (3) vs F (4)

If C (2) vs D (3) is unplayed, both players get relegated to Levels 3 and 4; the winner of E (3) vs F (4) goes up to Level 2, and the loser goes up to Level 3.

If A (1) vs B (2) is unplayed, both players get relegated to Levels 2 and 3; the winner of C (2) vs D (3) goes up to Level 1, and the loser goes up to Level 2.

If both A (1) vs B (2) and C (2) vs D (3) are unplayed, all four players get relegated. A goes to Level 2, B and C go to Level 3, and D goes to Level 4. The winner of E (3) vs F (4) goes all the way up to Level 1, and the loser goes up to Level 2.

The rule about removing players who have not played two games in a row still stands.

One issue I can see with this rule.

My opponents can not play me just to get me relegated...
