well tough, i have seen some valid comments from both parties and this is the fair solution i came up with. remember league runners can reverse subs if they feel the system is being abused.

5.2 Informing the opposing clan
All substitutions must immediately be communicated to the opposing clan captain. It is advised to use both the clan forum thread as well as offline messages for this, to allow information to reach the affected player in case of a vacant captain.

its also clear you never informed yetti of the sub as they had the match arranged, if you did they wouldn't have played or you wouldn't have done the sub.
anyway poll it is and my mind won't be changed.

of course you need to even though its not in the rules, if you informed yetti a simple message.
"Hey yetti craig here, just so you know i subbed you out against big_mouse so no need to play that game"
something like that and all this could have been prevented.

just because its not in the rules doesn't mean you haven't got to do it, its just common sense to let your players know whats happening.
example: the arguments thing we added, its not in the rules but its an unofficial rule if you like, but if i have to add every possible detail in the rules then i will.

no there isnt so wht are baising your discussion on
fresh air get on with it
official rule fact
rules as in you cant allow a person on the default panel to post on his own games
oooooh after thought yes its ok
one rule for people who follow rules and seperate rule for someone who breaks them

the comment on your own default happened once and was fairly obvious anyway and i said it wouldn't happen again and it hasn't so don't know why your bringing up the past.
your right its not in the rules but it doesn't stop you informing yetti does it? all of it could have been prevented by 1 message.

To be fair Craig has done this before and I asked if he could help with one game as I was having issues with, yet he started talking bout making swaps with the other game, the game I informed him was already arranged. When I questioned this, the only response I got was "I captain my clan not you."
Seems a wierd way to captain but guess its his way, but does seem majorly stupid to sub people out of games that have already been arranged or games that can be played, and ignoring other games.

Craig you didn't let your player know, so it is bad captaining on your part and you should just take it on the chin that it got played.
Do you only do things that you get told?, do you never think for yourself?
Sorry games should stand and Craig you will learn and not make the same mistake again.

If you don't inform him of a sub, he is likely to play the game to avoid a default / tell his opponent that he is going to be subbed out. If he is willing to play the match then he doesn't need to be subbed out.
You knowing he was out of form, suggests a tactical reason for substitutions (not breaching rules, but negative substitutioning - which goes against you in defaults). Would go against shooters in a default because captain hasn't informed the player / player hasn't checked thread.
That works both ways
If a swap is made, and the game is arranged to play in about an hour, a player may be unlikely to check a subs thread or clan thread if they're due to play
If you contact the player you are subbing in, why not contact the player you sub out. Doesn't seem quite logical not to, and knowing that a swap had just been made - if you're going to make a sub straight after because they are online at that moment, you would make sure the opponent is aware of this and happy to. (you say Rick has you on ignore, but there's nothing stopping david5 from asking/informing him.

If you had told yetti he had been subbed out the game wouldn't have been played so your fault craig not big_mouse's.
The subs are there to get games played primarily and the league runners have to keep the league being played in the right spirit as much as make sure rules are enforced.
Right spirit of the league for this game is the result stands as obviously neither player knew a sub had been made and played the match.
It's totally ridiculous that you are trying to get the score wiped if you weren't happy with yetti playing in the fixture you shouldn't have picked him for it should you?!

If the sub was made posted on threads and subs the game shouldn't stand can't believe there is even a discussion on this he made a sub and if his player doesn't read the thread ad the opposition captain doesn't that is there problem game shouldn't stand at all.
