i was 2-0 up in final of 8 ball at 11pm once and the same happened and i lost the tournament, i wasnt too bothered and nothing happened with points and tournament mark on profile, just join another tournament and win? or is this the end of the world for you?

Think everyone has lost loads more points when the server has messed up, happens to everyone. What does it take to get 3 points at your rank? 1 game in a tourney so hardly a big deal.
As for the tourney the guy got a bit of luck there were about another 6 players more likely to win the tourney and they haven't started any threads could understand you getting majorly bugged if you were 2-0 up in a final but still not enough for a thread.

You'll see that there were no games played after the quarter-final because of a server issue - 9 people were outright DQ'd through no fault of their own. james2010s and myself both hadn't dropped a frame up until the semi's, we haven't complained. Yes its disappointing to be DQ'd because the server is playing up, but it's a game - see if the problem can be avoided in the future and get on with it

You weren't playing me... or ipotalot. Why are you saying you were losing? :S

The server can't tell if you were about to win or not - and you can never be 100% sure that you would actually win from a position (or you wouldn't be 100% right if you were that sure)

So anything being unfair after that is pointless. Like you being normally disconnected, not really fair on you. But not fair on the other guy to take his points away for you leaving the game because he has a better connection. If that was to happen, you could deliberately disconnect everytime and not lose points.

You disconnected, he didn't. So, rightly, he gets the points (It shouldn't matter if you're about to win or about to lose).

The only thing I see that could be looked into (not sure about feasability) is that when the server is clearly at fault, and kicks some players off - maybe someway to avoid a change of rank?

But that would only be for the server making a huge error and kicking 9+ players out halfway through the quarters/some being through to the semi's. But if it isn't a good idea or possible, it's clearly understandable - and you have to accept these things happen
