thats a step I guess but remember mouth cancer, rotting teeth..
regardless of if you intake or not you'll get cancer from either the lungs or the mouth, both are terrible but at least if you DO NOT have lung cancer i believe mouth cancer is easier to be noticed and easier to be stopped.
Same with the teeth - they rott/turn yellow either way again so i suppose you could argue if you are able to stop you've got the money to get them cleaned as you've saved from the fags although chewing gum, twice a day brushing (even when ur at home and brush after a fag helps alot) and mouthwash can slowly start to clear the rott away.
Isn't there a mouth wash proven to help smokers lose yellow teeth?

try not to inhael correctly, you take a drag and breathe in - try to avoid breathing it in - u still get the effect but you don't damage your lungs as much and it becomes easier to stop.

Or you could not give a crap what people think of you, live your life how you want to and say no anyway?
no, no, I let them know what I did, but I wanted them to quit aswell because I couldn't stand the smell! haha, but it still made me look kind of......un nerdy if you know what I am saying?
hope nobody take this the wrong way or anything

If someone offers you a smoke think of an answer that won't make your friends think your scared or anything, or my way was to just say yes please! then throw in the drain, and ask for another

Smoking is such an ugly habit. All 3 of my brothers and sisters smoke and when I go visit them or they are at mine I can't stand the smell of smoke, it's horrible. Both my mum and dad gave it up with relative ease so I hope my brother and sisters do too. Used to go out with a girl who smoked too and I grew to hate it more than ever because the smell of cigarettes would be lingering everywhere, and now for me it's the one thing that puts me off most in girls as it's so unattractive. The public smoking ban was a brilliant thing for people like myself and I would imagine that it may have helped some people quit or at least cut back. I'm sure with the right amount of will power and realisation of how nasty a habit it is, it's not that difficult to abstain from.

I just may quit... LOL... I smoked my last cigarette a couple hours ago and don't have anymore and at this point in time I can't go get any... We will see how long I can without... Chances are I will be going in tomorrow to get more but ya never know... Maybe I can be strong... It may be easy for some people NOT me. I have quit before and it BLOWS!!!

Good thread here...weldone to everyone who have managed to quit!
A mate of mine told me a good technique for quitting if anyones interested...
Basically, when your ready to quit, however many you smoke within a day (lets say 20) your allowed 20 drags of a cigarette on your first day...
Second day - 19 drags
Third day - 18 drags, and so on
Its good, because you can divide how many drags you have for the day
...throughout the day
as long as you dont go over your limit !
