Any improvements to make the game more realistic are welcome surely?

pockets should be set back flush with the rails in my opinion yeah, sure that has been raised before though and this is a tweak not a drastic change.

well although uk table isnt realistic .. if u play a shot slow enough straight up a cushion on a normal english pool table towards centre bag it will drop .. just to let you know :-D

although the point remains a valid one that all other pool gaems have the correct rules so the uk8 should also have the move pick the ball up option as when an opponent makes a fould YOU should then gain the advantage wether the you can have a free ball or not ... just for the record i play pool a lot in real life i dont need to be good at a site before anyone tries to tell me im crap on here aswell :D

I agree that you should get ball in hand, if thats how rea uk pool is played. Plus all the other games you get ball in hand...

One of the main reasons the UK8 table doesn't have the move the white is due to the carry. if you want the real rules the carry will vanish & the ball in hand will then take place.

However this isn't the case in FUNKY pool, as for 1 it makes the UK game different rules from the US & can create for a more interesting game.

Nope try again in real UK pool you can move the ball anywhere behind the bulk line and get 2 shots carry...should know what you're talking about before you launch the ego

actually i think you'll find the carry doesn't last. if you pot off the first shot you therefore have no carry to continue with. I don't know what rules you play with old or new, but the new rules for pubs & county do not continue the carry after the first shot when potted. so technically speaking there isn't a carry.

I have a thursday league and sunday league team and you get 2 shot carry and can move the white behind the line. Have been able to for years.

if your playing by them rules your far gone playing old rules if not non existant.

You can move the ball and have 2 shots, first shot's free if u pot u still only end up with 1, if you miss you still have 1. those are the correct up to date rules.
