Kev in all fairness all you cared about was Cobra's and that you trusted no one on here what so ever!. I agree with the decision James made purely on the fact that it is best for the league, sorry mate.

Didn't really see any help for Kenny, and he went voluntarily didn't he?

Not too amused that once again we have came to that we have a website being held at ransom yet again. So not impressed

I have a plan, have a captains meeting at the end of the current season, all captains must be present or have a representative in his or her's sted. Make it a time to please all if possible, or the most amount of people.

People should start applying to be either Secretary or one of the Assistant Secretary's.


Then at the meeting, an AGM (Annual General Meeting) as it were, the captains/representative from each team voted who they want.

Make it a peoples league again.

This works well in really pool leagues, including the league I'm Secretary of, in which captains of each team voted me in. A 2 year post, maybemake it 2 season etc. (By the way I got 11 out of 11 votes).

I was not round when the kenny stuff happened.

He didn't cause problems for the league when he went, in fact, he continued to help them by running the website as a non league runner

Not to sure if that would work on here, people can get banned, deactivate or just leave - changing the runners often would cause a lot of confusion amongst the participants, as well as increasing the likelihood that a league runner disappear mid-season and leave the league in a bit of trouble

I like the current system because, you know that the person running the league is suitable, because they've done it several seasons (and with James - ran the snooker clan league for a while)

Changing league runners often would mean that every few seasons, the dynamics of the league would shift every few seasons to suit that of the league runners

I think the best thing is to have trusted people run it, with experience and act in the best interest of the league, not themselves

The 2 new runners picked were the best IMO of the 6 candidates, nothing against those not picked - but going on experience, trustworthyness and other traits required of a league runner, the 2 picked were the best 2 for those traits. That saying, from 6 choices - not all of them are going to be suitable, and there is the chance that it turns into a popularity contest

I think alot are getting wrong end of the stick...

A runner of the current set up decided a while ago he could not participate as a clan captain or runner due to being busy with Uni.

He was then asked to resign (not only for the reason above but others that i have not been informed off)

An ultimatum was then put down...resign or be removed.

This was not accepted by said party and the "new website" is now held in their hands with remaining runners unable to access it.

Its about time people think before executing things that has an impact on the league .

The league is not 1 person or the runners its all the members of all the clans.

And let's be honest a league runner who plays multiple accounts in their own clan and other, and then throws games for other clans for his own clan to win... Is that really who should be running the league?

The cphaynes idea could have the league run by players who don't know what there doing. James obviously had his reason for removing kev now lets let him get on with it wel'l soon find out if it was a good decision or not

was a backup but wasnt fully up to date as we moved to kevs one.

These problems seem to be popping up all the time now , maybe you should consider bringing all the FCL records to funky pool forums its been done in the past and worked ! It may take more work to keep up to date , but it cant be held to ransom by disgruntle league runners ?

ive got a better idea, instead of spamming the forum ill make a clan league records tab on defaults forum and put all results there

also on defaults forum you can edit your post anytime instead of after 4 hours.

Yes, but the point is to keep it up to date throughout the season. So whichever website you use (unless it's something like yola), a backup will be kept on defaults forum.

yep ill do it like snooker, after each fixture ill put them on defaults forum then just in case it does happen again which it won't i hope then least the fixtures are there so bit easier to work out.

also it does help to give the other runners the password to the yolasite to keep it up to date.

on snooker i put it in an Admin Forum where only admin can see it (basically the league runners)
