Agree here with Mahratta, possibly change to twice as when done once could be on the spur of the moment decision, however where we have serial deactivators, members would then think twice about opting for deactivation!

Disagree, maybe give a maximum of say 1 deativation per 2 months or 3 months or something. (Per IP address)
I however deactivated mich as I was starting to dislike the game there was a lot of childish comments on the forums and stupid arguments. So I left, only come back to help a friend out with a clan so I think it is stupid to do it after 1 deactivation.

You seem to be missing the point here!
We are not planning on stopping them coming back, we are merely pointing out that the account that is deactivated, should not be allowed to be reactivated.

Why? who actually cares. If this is your only worry in life i think you should get out more. If people wanna deact and react it's up too them and if they came back as newbies and started beating yous ya wouldnt be happy. Leave it as it is.

kirk you too are missing the point, no one is saying that they cannot come back! There is no harm in recreating a new account.
Nowhere does it say that they cannot create a new username!

I think you are missing his point, whats the harm in letting them come back if it's within the week?
There was a fuss made to bring that rule in when a lot of people called for it to be brought in, why does it need to be taken out again?
It would cause more harm for them to come back on a new account as then their rank would be unrepresentative of their ability.

Show me where you are sure that I was one of the people complaining about fake newbs!
There is a difference between multiple account users and deactivators who have created new accounts.

You did miss out being a big attention seeking drama queen out of the list but yeah it doesn't affect anyone else so not a problem.
Good for a giggle watching someone throw the rattle out of the pram as well!

A slight one, but theres a huge difference between someone having a new account but not being new to the site and someone who is new to the site, on their first account

The number of people who reactivate is all the proof needed of how popular a feature it is.
If it were not present, as before, there would be the same situation as before with more "fake newbies", messy forums, etc etc.
As it is, people can deactivate and reactivate as much as they like and it affects absolutely nobody.

Indeed, it gives people that oppertunity to blow off steam and come back calmed down. Wonderful idea tbh.

disagree jim as a number of mates of mine on snooker called fuzzy, andy, dom and curt, they take pleasure in deactivating, some people do it for privacy and others do it because they was drunk.
this feature was brought in so the admins didnt have to be nagged to reactivate, (i know some do but after a year when its suppose to be deleted so another user can use it, which it doesn't) but since feature got brought in admins been nagged less as they can do it within the week they deactivated.
P.S. to add the reactivation feature saves new accounts which other users could use.
let me ask a question.
would you rather someone reactivate after calming down or would you rather be beat by fake newbies of face of the earth?
doesn't matter to me either way but it shouldn't be changed, fine as it is

This looks like a spit.
ok when they come back after a mad moment, they should have all records cleaned off.
