As the name suggests, particapants wishing to play must pay a "buy-in" of a set amount of tournapoints, which will be added to the amount of tournapoints given to the tournament by Funkypool. I think that if your risking your hard earned TP's, it may make a tournament a little more exciting!

What about people who have no or not enough tourney points?

also what happens people moan about rank loosing and now wanna do it with torna points i see it being trouble, sorry sam my opion

People moan about the loss of ranking points because they are annoyed they've lost. They know and understand the risks to their ranking points when they enter tournaments, therefore their complaining is completely irrational and irrelevant!

People without/not enough tournapoints would have to continue to enter the standard "Free" tournaments to gain enough tournapoints to enter they "Buy-in" ones. It's similar to poker if anyone plays, you cant play the high blinds until you have enough money to play at the high levels. It would be similar here, possibly with levels of buy-in available!

Very interesting idea IMO..Would be good for players to pay to join a turny ,which would make them try harder to win it knowing the rank they pay to join gets added to the overall winfall. More turny points but overall yes this idea gets my vote

imo at the moment tournys have gone from the masses to the elite 10%, i think theyve caught on to the double points thing...u look at tourny wins .....top players and no flukes , while altho the points have equalised ...rank n file have no chance ...change it bk nick ...leave rankers to rank n tourneys to tourneys ..

I like the idea but the only way it could work is as a set level of buy in ie. This tourny will cost a set level of points (which is the same for everyone).

The other example muted above where you select the amount of points you risk yourself could not work. If there was 10 people who entered this tourny and using him as an example, if Ucy was to risk 100000 points at the ofset of the tourny and the other 9 folk were to risk 1 point. What would be won for the risk of his 100000........ 9 points!?

Obviously it would be a set buy in, with different levels

Level 1 - 10 tournapoints
Level 2 - 50 tournapoints
Level 3 - 100 tournapoints

(something like that)

On another point now Ive thought after my initial post lol.

Would would losing tourna points actually mean to anyone. When I enter a tourny, I am more intrested in winning the tourny and gaining a few ranking points along the way. Never pay attention to the tourna points, they show no indication of skill or anything along those lines.

Anyone could win a day points medal, if like some, they enter every tourny on the go to get one.

My point being, I understand that there is already double points in tournys just now, but maybe one/ two a day where you 4 or 5 times the points in the tourny. that really would a decision to make before you enter and would certainly open it up to everyone, whatever rank to enter.

I would think that there would be a level 1/2/3 consecutively on the hour, and only one a day, and play them through prime time (7/10pm)

With enough interest, it would mean massive amounts of tournapoints available to the winner! Obviously if you have a lack of interest in tournapoints, you aren't forced to enter

I would like to see this implemented.

Although i would suggest them being played like the friendly tournaments at like 10 minutes to whatever hour

Would be fun to have a lil gamble vs ucy
