One is going on a rant here. For one I have never seen you actually play a game so easy to say its only ranking points. I'd also like to say on behalf of 99% of the folk on here that nick does an amazing job, but he doesnt now do it for free and as users of this free service, which he earns an income from, it is our job as users of this service to inform him of issues on funkypool. Dont kid yourself mate, you play a game and you look at how many points you got EVERYONE DOES!!!! The point is you earned the points so if there is a solution, why give them away for free. INFORMATION IS KNOWLEDGE.

Considering crazzymadman has been around far longer than you have and played on here regularly a few years ago, you are sadly mistaken in that regard. I'm completely with crazzy on this one, perhaps it's also because I've played on here so long, but I'm sure there are far more pressing issues in peoples lives than losing a few points/tournament final on an online pool site. I couldn't care less if Nick makes an income on here (which he has done since day one btw), the site is (and always will be) completely FREE for EVERYONE to use, and that's to his credit. If anyone is geniunely very annoyed/upset about losing points, either a) play me in a race to 10 and I'll let you beat me 10-0 or b) sort your life out.

Mr madman could have been a member for as may years as you like but he doesnt play regularily now, hence his worry of ranking points. TBH, pretty pointless post niall. Of course everyone who plays the game has greater issues in there life but as a short escape, Should we not make it as good as possible. Funky is not the be all and end all in my life but when you log on, you hope not to lose needless points. This being the point of all these posts. To let Nick know whats happening and how people feel about this. Again being the biggest fan of funky and what nick has achieved, let people make a point and part timers.... hold yer wheesht.

You can talk Crazzy your not a premium member yourself, why should non premium go premium if they don't want to thats why Nick gave everyone a choice to do it or not.

Some people care about there stats and wins etc because they feel they have accomplished something while having fun, and you sit there calling them moaning little kids, im sure if we look way back in forum we will find a post of you moaning about your rank going down or something like that.

I take your point about making it as good as possible, if you doubt that Nick isn't trying to ensure this that's just ridiculous and unfair. What annoys me is when people come on and say things like "oh come on Nick sort such and such out quick" and "this site's a joke"...not realizing that if Nick was in a position to sort this immediately and/or he didn't have more important things to deal with, he would do it. Such posts are far more pointless than what I posted, I'm just giving an opinion rather than whining about meaningless stats.

I am with Niall and madman here, I mean seriously you are crying over a game, it's not a matter of life and death. As someone said earlier look at what is going on in other places in the world and put it into perspective.

I have been here since 04 and yeah I like to keep my rankings high and win tournaments but I wont cry if the server logs me out I will just log back in and get the points back.

And also the thread is called funky problems not let's all cry about losing points, Niall and Crazzy can also air their views on the current server problems. And as for saying about Crazzy not being bothered as he doesn't play much anymore, I have played him a lot and he has never been bothered about rank more about the enjoyment factor which is what a game should be played for, enjoyment.

So quit crying about it and be patient, Nick knows what is happening as he said a couple of weeks ago if the problems persist he would consider changing server but he has got to find the money to fund this first it's not a matter of doing it straight away. He needs to find a good solid host, pay the fees and have to lose out on the money he has paid for this server so he will be losing money too.

somthing i happen to no all about and trust me mich it costs nothing

rumblings in all walks of life happen but good communication helps everyone, just an update would surfice

we know nick has provided a 1st class game and service, also dosnt make it perfect, however no one is having a real go that a little communication wont sort

If you read Nick's post about upgrades etc on the last thread he has stated he has prepaid for 3 months time so was going to give the server some time as the problems were down to the hosts updating the server.

He said he would leave it until at least the end of February which could mean from then on for up to 3 months time. Nick was last online 2 days ago and around that time for myself and many other people the server seemed to have been running fine. It was only yesterday and late the day before it started going mental again.

Just be patient I am sure he will read this thread when he is next on and update you.
