can anyone tell me why i keep getting logged out please it is happening quite regular it logs me out so i click login and within a few seconds im back on and its perfect but happens again 5 mins later i would be grateful if someone could help thanks

ah well..

Do remember that unless everyone is logged out, there is nothing wrong with the server.

Just because your connection to other sites may seem OK, doesn't mean the connection to funkypool is constant.

why wouldn't it be constant

plus that doesn't explain why some people get logged out continuously

Because there could be a problem at any one of the connections illustrated above which can cause a break in the connection.



Because of problems with their wiring, dodgy ASDL filter, interference if they are on wireless, a problem at their exchange, a cable getting kinked at a roadworks down the street, lightning hitting a microwave link somewhere in america, the list can be virtually endless. All you can do is check everything you possibly can, including contacting your ISP if the problems persist.

disconnected randomly in first round of tourny ....

i waited 2 hours to play in that tournament my connection has been fine all night then bang first round got disconnected randomly typical -_-

I had the same problem earlier today, All I did was refresh my internet, opened a new webpage and that worked fine!

Sometimes my friend, the simplest of actions can fix the most complicated things.

i don't care anymore from now lol it's just a game i guess but yeh i tried that 9_ball_king and it works perfect now thanks a bunch mate

just happened again when i entered the uk 8 ball tournament have no idea why was up 1-0 potted the black for 2-0 then it logged me out instantly as i potted the black and said i had to reload the page? lmao so i reloaded it and nothing happened so then i closed the game window then re-opened it and my pool table colour was different ?? and my connection is perfect..
seems to only happen in tournaments and this is annoying as i waited 2 hours for this one

maybe it is your internet connection or surpassed the 20 minutes inactivity?

u obviously haven't read my post properly i was in the middle of a game so how can it surpass the 20 mins inactivity and as ive already explained it's not my internet connection for the last time..

As spinner has stated many times jonathan, if you get logged out but others are still in the game server then this is clearly not the server at fault.

I have checked and when you was logged out of those games I was online and so was many others but I know 100% I was having no problems.

Just because "other" sites load fine doesn't mean your internet connection is perfect, there are many connections between you and the server of funkypool that may have gone down.

Twice today the server has went down resulting in problems with players in finals and tournaments.

This site is going to start to lose members if these constant server problems continue to occur!!

May be completely irrelevant but...

Could the action of a invitation being sent to someone for a tournament be linked to the server going down?

I am aware there was at least 1 micro tournament in place and the straight tournament was in place when the last server mishap happened.

I checked the Straight tournament and 1 game had dq-dq now whether they had ran out of time or got cut off I don't know but may have something to do with the invites including errors?

I don't know just trying to think of possible problems which my be causing it.
