I have not had much problem with lag but as many other people have experienced in the past week or so (including myself), there have been problems involving being logged off without any problems with their or my internet connection.

No idea if this is in any way related to the lag problem.

If you have the latest Java and tried the uninstalling/reinstalling routine without any luck then I'm afraid I wouldn't have a clue - sorry!

Any other opinions on this problem would be most appreciated.

Did you try it in this sequence.....?

- Go to control panel
- Add remove programs
- Remove all the java versions you see (there may be more than one).
- Clear browser histories including downloaded program files.
- Reboot (even if you're not told to)
- Then visit
http://www.java.com for a new, clean, install.

I just got a new laptop aswel and the lagging was real real bad. What i tried after all else fail was get rid of google chrome which is what it came with and downloaded firefox as my browser and the lag seemed to stop. My only problem now is the touchpad but im hoping il be able to get used to it.

You could use "Contact Us" if the problem is becoming unbearable or you could try different web browsers and see how that works for you.

Note - Be sure it is definitely not your connection, if it is then nothing will help other than contacting your internet provider

Please bear in mind the word lag is used on here for 3 or 4 different things on funkypool, as such it's useless to find any fault and I have updated the title to reflect the content of the first post.

The animation on the game is performed solely on your computer so in this case it's definitely not network related.

I would try the following to resolve it:

1) Try making the game window smaller. Animation processing power increases dramatically as the game gets bigger (game processing power is proportional to game area).

2) If you can access the task manager take a look that no other processes are hogging the CPU.

3) Attempt to turn off your sound (via game options), incorrectly configured sound could cause delays.

Would you be able to post a screenshot of the tasks that are running? Might be easier to see what's running and which ones can be stopped safely.

game booster is a good thing to download as it shuts down programs you don't need to have a less lag playing experience

Bumped for Nick.

I'm not too brilliant with the processes on windows task manager but you would need Firefox, Java and your security on there, as for the others I would not know.

Don't hold me to that, I would much prefer Nick to take a look at the screenshot before you do anything you are not sure of.

Thanks

nh425, it doesn't look like you have too many processes running.

One possibility is to look into disabling your desktop window manager, you can a how to here:

If it makes no difference you can always reverse the steps to enable it again.
