Implement a tool so you can kick a player from your table, i'm kinda getting bored of idiots joining my tables playing one game then standing and dishing out abuse. I'd much rather just kick them from my room.
you'll reply telling me to create another game, they just follow. Yes, they're that sad.
Needs a fix asap.

or make a room, and set the minimum ranking so the annoying person can't join.

You can also ignore user and even tho you will still see them in the room you can't see any abuse messages, also report user (send complaint) if their abuse involves swearing and/or racist remarks

I've asked for something like this many times, but as others have pointed out, there are workarounds.
Private room is a poor solution that forces you to enter a complete different pattern just to avoid someone... Which shouldn't be your problem at all in the first place.
Ignore only goes so far. There are other ways to get harassed, for example players following you around, joining your game as player even knowing you don't want to play them.... Flumpy's suggestion of ranking ranges doesn't help for this, since a) not all games are ranked, and b) limiting rank is often not something you want to do.
And before people come dragging the "report to admin" argument, let me address that right now: It is also not a solution since there very rarely are admins around to solve this right there and then. Which is what you need.
Two very simple solutions that would address this need:
1: Ignore should prevent players from joining your rooms
2: As original poster asked for - a simple "kick to chat room" button, obviously only enabled when a game is not taking place.

I can defitinely see the massive advantages of a 'flick to chat' button; however the big disadvantage of arguments starting, bickering overflowing to the forums and people abusing the feature will occur.
There are already a few things on the site which are not plesent such as people abusing others (as the problem is here), but this is where the ignore feature comes in. While the 'boot to chat' does have its massive advantages, I don't like the disadvantages that come with it, otherwise I would be in favour of such a thing.
They have a similar thing on Yahoo games and I find that it is abused a lot...

i agree with jan and lars - something should be done and i like the idea of being able to remove players - or at least stop them from joining in the first place it sorts more problems out then it will occur and to base this on a friendly site foryounger kids if someones stalking you & still typing despite the fact you cant see it it can become unplesant for the next person you play.

Yeah if your the creater of the room, I don't see why a kick out of room option can't be made available and if someone is kicked out, then the system should lock them out of the room there after otherwise they will just keep popping back in.

dont like the kicking or booting however a simple solution would be to ask the game owneer if they wish a player to join the room
ie - message appears "player "a" would like to play / watch this game - will you allow this"
if you do then an invite appears for them to watch or play
if not - then a message appears - player b has refused you entry to this room
seems and easy enough solution without having the power to boot
thanks

Or how about add something to the game to create a room quickly. Just a button saying create quick room which does one automatically for you (maybe be able to change the length and if ranked or not in settings maybe?)
I know it's sort of off topic but it could sort of be a solution to this?

i did a thread about this months back but only thing i got was "put person on ignore".
Thread: http://www.funkypool.com/thread/16602/kicking-ability
would be nice to make a button to ignore user from profile just like add friends.

Abuse would by definition not be possible. No such thing.
Simply because the button would be available to the game owner only, and never during on-going games (only before and after).
In short, there would be no way to abuse that feature.

I'll be honest, just the fact that there name is in the same room as mine sickens me half the time, despite having them on ignore its not enough, i don't want them watching me.. Why should i have to make a private room and have to invite my opponents when i wish to play completely random people who join ?

Because you explicitly say you dont want to play random people, because some of the seem to have some weird effect on you.
The private game option suits what you originally, and just now, ask for, perfectly. You clearly only want to play people you have approved of, so making sure they are suitable by restricting the game to those invited is perfect.
As we all know this crops up occasionally but is flawed from the outset in that the person with a problem should be the person to leave, its that simple.

Your opinion.
Other, more sensible people might argue that it is the game creator being harassed by the one join.
In fact is it not already so that people who keep joining your games (if you create new ones) after being asked not to, qualify as harassment and could be reported?
That clearly makes a statement that the game creator indeed is in a position to ask any given player not to join their game.
So the only change we are asking for here is better tools to support a principle that is already in place.
The game creator wanting a player out isn't the problem. The player you need to remove IS. He/she is the harassing party, and the game creator should be subject to as little hassle as possible in the process of getting that obstacle out of the way.

I created the game it even says its my room.. so if some idiot comes into my room i should be able to kick him the hell out of there.
Regardless if its me with the problem or him with the problem. he/she is there with me not wanting them there, therefore they6 should get the hell out of my game.

What if you are being the idiot? The reverse must also be true.
Or you could just put whoever they are on ignore and get on with enjoying the games like everyone else
