While on the subject of straight I would just like to bring something to peoples attention.

When I play, the shot after the break I will smash the pack as in my eyes there is a higher chance of potting than not potting. However numerous times over the past few days I have been called a cheat (by those same people who deliberately foul to gain advantage) and a fluke. When explaining that if you know where to hit the pack and when you smash a pack there is a higher chance of potting than not they carry on with the abuse etc.

Now not blowing my own trumpet but I aint a bad player, and have played the game long enough to know certain angles etc, so I am just calling for people who dont like my style of play to either put up with it, rant to someone else about it or if you believe this is cheating tell a mod or admin.

i smash into pack no matter what, except break, would explain why my rank is low lol.

I also believe that fortune favours the brave, so if you aint brave enough to attempt it you wont now if you are fortunate enough for it to come off.

true, usually i can pot 6/10 id say from pack, sometimes get the dreaded 2 in 1 shot.

im not a fan of blasting the pack but iv played you a few times and come to expect it .Worked in my favour the last time
i almost never pot so i dont do it much its against the rules in straight i think but not on funky lol

i understand ya man, people say im luck, im crap, i shouldnt play this, but im really good with angles and ive played for about 3-4 years <<<not sure but been awhile) plus i play real pool which only helps with what english to put on it, so just stop complaining and agree to learn where to hit, how hard, and what english (thanks mich)

Not a fan of blasting the pack myself, but although I hate when my opponent does it and pots a ball, the chances of it (in my opinion) are low, so I usually get back on the table after they blast the pack.

Havn't seen him play many straight games, but surely the amount of runouts he has shows that he's a wizz with angles etc etc, if you dont like to pack being smashed go play golf

I rarely run into the 1 minute warning.
But if my opponent have an advantage, I would certainly think about leaving the game before DQed.
On the other hand if I have an advantage I would ask my opponent to leave the game.
In 1.5 year FP, I asked 1 person to leave the game, he refused.

I agree with you there Jerry. A similar occurence happened with kirk and myself in a UK8 marathon final, I was up and we had the time warning, so he left to give me the win and avoid both of us getting DQ'ed.

I would do the same if I was losing and have done before but I would expect the same of the person I was doing it for.

Another possibility is maybe giving the win to a player who has a lead of say 15 points or more over his opponent. Say you get stuck in the 30's and your opponent is in the low teens, also making sure that you've both had the same number of visits to the table like in carom where you play until innings are equal.

Someone let me win in the final when I had 32 points with around a minute and he was some way back. Very sporting I thought.

i fluked last blue and because i didn't like i i thought, no im not winning this way so i missed pink purposely (he knew because i told him beforehand) and i let him go through.
