I was 32-24 up in straight final against noodles ,i had during the game got a -15 point penalty wen i wasnt payin attention ok my fault,,but shud a str8 final have no time limit seen as i done well to come back and lead by 8 ,im only saying shud there be no time limits on straights finals ,,

I personally think there should be no time limit in all tournament finals. Don't think it is required as it is the last round.

I agree with that, a time limit in final only adds to pressure. And i might sound like a newbie saying that, but there obviously is a level of pressure in a final lol

yeah m8 you had the minus 15 points for 3 consec fouls and i no its in the final of straight but if they changed the rules in straight they would have to in 8 uk 8 us and 9 so no time would be in them finals. the time is their to give player a more competetive game. to have no time in any point of any game on this site you would have to completely re arrange funkypool
and i believe the game would then bore people

I accept ur opinions im just sayin , play a final in any amount of time u like ,,me nor my opponont actually realised the time pass ,,then when the game just stops u lose a final because of it ,,,,IMO finals alone shud be different

i disagree, its just as fair on every1, the time limit in the final is also greater than all the other rounds, if you cant finish a game of straight pool in 24 minutes then i have absolute no idea why you are playing this game,
for me an average game of straight pool is only 7 minutes.

ok perfect u are right in what you are saying,but some games do take time ,,for instance wen u miss and other player playes safe ,then you dont wanna give them a chance of wining so u play safe too and so forth ,,,but good comment ,,im only looking for opinions

was entirely your fault for the minus 15, and you had to make it up with the time you had. if you paid attention you wouldn't have had that and you would have much more time, therefore you both played a very slow and miserable game, with just as much silly mess and misses as each other,

a game of straight consists of tactics and knowledge, that you gain from playing it in the competitions. just learn the better way to play and dont take so long to shoot,

As well as tactics and knowledge a level of stamina is also required though, so in the straight final, a no time limit would be a good idea.

im not here to argue ,im lookin for opinions on wat happened is all ,i said u were right in wat u said about a game takin on average 7 mins ,ok it was a bad game we mist alot of shots but dont that happen to everyone ,,i respect ur views mate

making the game drag on longer and making more fouls and more safety's,
if thats the case why not play 2 games of straight in a final?

end of the day you have to out play your oponent to win in the designated time slot or you both lose

Which is true u do have to out play him or u lose ,,but i done my damndist and it is my fault for losing minus 15 no one elses,,but end of the day its a suggestion im makin about time in a final nothin else

A few weeks ago in a str8 final I got to 34-34 against bumble and the game timed out. We were trying crash and bash for last 2 mins to try to finish and I lined up my last pot and bang game ended and we were both DQ'd. Ruined a great tactical final.

Why not allow an extra 10 mins for a final as it is always likely to be a tactical game.

A few months ago onua and I timed out in a UK final as well. Great games spoiled by a timer......

what we need is a marathon straight torny
play to 70 or somthing when playing straight when not in a torny there shpould be an option to play from 35 up to 150 if the players so please thats what straight is all about

i dont think anything should be changed, iv been dq from straight finals, when time elapses the only people to blame is the 2 playing the final, your take your choice, you take a chance on trying potting a ball on a hard shot or smashing the pack to pot one or risk getting both dq , makes it more challenging in my eyes instead of a final which could easily end up going on for a hour because of constant safety play
