i cant be the only one who thinks the uk table is totally wrong, i think the worst thing is that you can run the ball down the cussion into the centre pocket, which is rediculous, and the pockets should be set back further

It's funky because the fact it can be run on older machines without too many problems. Near enough what dgen said just a bit of re-wording. Some day people will learn this!!

The UK table has always been like this (apart from cosmetic changes). Changing the UK table now will mean all previous UK stats would need to be wiped. Not viable in my opinion.

Graphically it could be improved, but i like the idea of being able to role balls into the middle pocket if they're sitting next to the cushion, and that should remain the same. However, graphics of the table could be made a little more realistic.

Graphic quality on all tables could frankly do with a bit of a brush-up, but on the other hand I fear it would change game play, a regardless of intentions that almost always is a bad thing, so in the end of the day I'd rather see it left alone.

Take the killerpool table for example.... At first glance more or less the same table we have here, but entirely different (and far worse) game play.

I agree with you on that, but without touching the coding for the gameplay, isn't there a way to import a better graphical table?

Should be doable - the up-scaled, old images look fairly crappy on large, high-res screens, and since it is a static part of the game, better quality does not translate to higher requirements to the players' PCs.

I have been asking for a real uk table for years, don't think it will ever happen though. There is a lot of people like a table you can cut a ball along a cushion into the middle pocket as it is funky pool!!!. Personally i would prefer a more realistic table.

A very good point regarding the stats, some people have over 7 years of stats built up on the core table.

The UK table has such a long history on the sites, dating back way before funkypool to poolsharks, and whilst it has recently had a big cosmetic revamp, the gameplay has never changed, and shouldn't. Why change the one thing that has indisputably worked all this time.

Other tables have come and gone, and will continue to do so. By all means we can try introducing another "pro" UK table, but I think we can all guess what will ultimately happen

I have been playing since poolsharks and UK table is the so called "backbone" of the games. i like many others would be devestated if was changed or new "pro uk" was added

"pro" uk table sounds good, quite a few players including myself are not keen on the uk game mainly because of the table, a pro table would be worth a try, could bring in a pro table for a trial period then bin the least popular.

If played slow enough on a real UK table, the ball can roll into the pocket if rolled down the cushion! So yes the only amendmant that could be made is that the power of a shot for it to roll into the middle down a cushion.

I remember a couple of years ago someone actually went onto photoshop and showed us all what a 'propper' 8UK table would look like.

After seeing that photo (probably still on the forum somewhere), I have been against change.

If theres going to be a pro table i would much prefer a 9 ball pro table and i assume other people would want 8 us pro, killer pro and straight pro

And for graphical updates - minigolf would need to be updated before the others - 3D cue ball/cue on the old 2D table (the first hole for example has the two racks of balls which are clearly different to the cue ball)

Golf doesnt really matter though

I think the idea of a uk pro table would work to be honest, however if people would want it for 8 and 9 us then id just scrap the idea now lol, i would just stick with brushing them graphics up a bit.

This just sounds like another dream that we will have to wait years for it to be implented though lol and i dont want my hopes to be all built up for nothing haha.
