There has been a spate of ads appearing that are non-compliant, which cause lag. These ads have also been mentioned here:

There's far more generated through advertising than through ten pounds here and there fella. How do you think other non-subscribing websites flourish?
Surely it's as important to keep existing members as it is selling a ten pound levy for a year??
Im far from tight, but dont play enough to justify paying for a year. Despite that, I've been coming back to this site for four years.
So, problem not sorted mate.

The easiest option would be to sign up for the Premium Account, that way you won't have any problems with adverts.

You could also post a screenshot of the Relationship ad to the thread that I linked to in my last post. It's not a certainty, but Admin might look at it and decide if it should be removed.

I love the site but it became unplayable, man I know where you're coming from thats why I paid the tenner.,,

It was loads of ads that ruined my game not just a few so thats why I paid and never looked back, I'm quite aware of the cash adverts generate and there purpose btw

Sorry if you took me wrong but for me problem was sorted minus a tenner

2. ...You understand and agree that the Service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are necessary for funkypool to provide the Service. ...

Please do not include advice on how to block ads, as you (and those who take your advice) will be breaking the terms of service. Of course obviously neither do we want a case where ads cause a deterioration in game performance, and in this case action can be taken.

On this same type of idea I'm not entirely sure the Asian bride advert is entirely appropriate for the site?

Not sure how much input Admin can have in adverts sorry, I know I've been told.. but I've slept a few times since then

The ads where you have to pick i phones or shoot something, they seriously lag me on the game and other users. I mean i have premium now but i see them at work and once my premium runs out i won't be purchasing it again until the adverts are completely lag free. I know there are ad blockers out there so il just use them if its legal lol.

I get some pretty bad lag with the bingo advert.

Can't remember it's name, but it's the blue one with white text which changes every few seconds.

Anyone else get problems with that one?

No offence guys reason I posted was not to moan 'i've got lag' it was to talk about unsuitable adverts for the family friendly attitude this site tries to unhold.

I agree that some of the ads on here shouldn't be allowed to stay up. I've seen a few over the last few months which are unsuitable for a family website, especially when children are members.

Ok i feel like i should step in.

Now I know everyone is complaining about "lag" through certain adverts on the site.
I know people leave comments saying buy premium to stop the in-game lag.
People buy the premium and still complain of adverts lag from the forums.

Basically.
All advert scripts are run through a .js file (JavaScript). This file is added to a website host. "Example: google-analytics.com/ga.js"

The full line of code is exactly this :

<script type="text/javascript">
var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www.");
document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E"));
</script>

So the adverts that are shown may or may not be explicit or exploit something in any way. The truth is. They are random adverts based through facts sent through the hosts (you) computer to the site (FunkyPool). From the site webmaster (Nick) It automatically get's sent to the google ad servers. It will "look" at the facts and see the statistics whether or not that an advert is a problem and change it through a single refresh.

Yes that's right. It does all that if you refresh your browser page.
