If you can see the FCL sub-forum then you can surely see the FPL one

Marco was doing this before you, how do you know he didnt nick some stuff from either league?

saying you weren't around means nothing, there are probably a fair few people who weren't around but were aware of the structure

personally i find that is a weak excuse

and it still doesnt change the fact that its very similar

and what about the practically identical structure to the Clan World Cup?
and you were BOTH around when that was happening

i think the best thing to happen now is for all FNL threads to be capped except the discussion thread where the "new" team can then post the format and rules - and then leave for discussion

only then should results, subs, news etc etc be opened

this constant you did - i didnt - id did - you didnt - i dont believe you has to stop

Thanks

Emily

Why would we look for ideas from a league that collapsed?

I know marco didn't nick the stuff because I proposed the structure to him.

that's a fairly arbitrary statement so I'll choose to ignore it.

and what relevance does the Clan World Cup have to do with this? again a very strange statement to make

That's quite a blind remark donna, as I have stated myself and marco weren't around, thus making us totally unaware of the FPL structure and making it even less obvious to look through their threads to see what type of league structure they were using and why the one we were using was different to the only other league currently in operation, the FCL

Blind remark ?? I know for a fact marco was asking the runners of the other league how things worked before he started this , so please don't feed me that garble

Garble? I would've thought the self-proclaimed genius that you are would've looked back and read that I in fact proposed that idea to marco, so don't blame him for copying the league when it was my idea

Because the league is on hold and not collapsed, and there wasn't much problem with the structure of the league really, there were other problems. The structure worked.

Yeah after he's been round the block looking for other people to do he work

So you have a poor excuse? and when the flaws in it are exposed, you ignore them?
yeah, i figured as much

again, you ignore the blindingly obvious

not strange at all, the CWC has the exact same structure as the new format of FNL which has come to light 2 days ago is it?

once more i shall say it:
CWC - 2 groups of 4, top 2 from each group play in semi's and then the winners play in final
FNL- Exactly the same

CWC- 3 weeks for the group stage, 2 for knockouts
FNL- Exactly the same

CWC- 5 people play in each match, 3 subs
FNL- the same?

CWC - Goes on frames won rather than the overall matches won
FNL - Exactly the same

CWC - included 3rd place playoff
FNL - Exactly the same

CWC - first to 2 in 8 uk 8 us 9 ball
FNL - first to 2 in 8 uk 8 us 9 ball - And heres the twist, 1 frame of straight

You must have one boring life to sit here on an online pool game and pick floors in an event here to provide you with satisfaction for playing but you choose to do the opposite and make life difficult for others. I don't get you, maybe you should try find the outdoors and go make some friends because all you try to do on here is cause arguments and just make yourself a general nuisance

Will everyone just be quiet for once. You're all acting like a bunch of 4 year olds (who like pool).

If the FNL took from the FPL or the CWC it doesn't matter as long as they change it now. Not saying they did its just too close to become an interesting league if its exactly the same.

Meanwhile, accusing them of it won't accomplish anything. Give them advice and help instead.

the way my snooker clan league works is, there is 15 max, 8 plays (2 Arcade, 2 Regular, 2 Original, 2 Carom) (Pool would be 2 9 Ball, 2 UK, 2 8 Ball, 2 Straight) plays each week and the score system is 6 frames with each frame as a point so can end in 6-0,5-1,4-2 or 3-3, Captains choose players to play in the specific game types.

example (teams are fictional):

Wipeout vs MVP

9 Ball

arpeggi vs horse10000
bustamante vs __robdut__

8 Ball:

dgeneratio vs destiny
janmb vs ab_rfc

UK:

unknown_id vs ladysapphire
zante vs mich

Straight:

joker86 vs shooter001
german vs ex_champ

works different to FCL and FPL

I think this idea needs looking into, it's a good idea, maybe take it on board.

You clearly don't get him either, I think you're a bit slow. Getting outside and meeting new friends might help but that might also be hard for a keyboard jockey like you

Im sorry, i really cant take you seriously.

One post, you say try telling me to stop arguing and help, then next you're saying im slow, based on nothing, and you're telling me things about me that you have no idea about.

and im the slow one?

And all of a sudden you try to use a more well-spoken vocabulary yet still make errors in your more 'every-day' speak

a keyboard jockey eh?

to quote one robdut "pot kettle black"

You're a big baby, you've started arguing with people here when they try to find out things about the league from you because you dont like it? ...

IF YOU DONT WANT PEOPLE TO ASK ABOUT THE LEAGUE, DONT BE A LEAGUE RUNNER

To a logically-thinking person its simple, to you its not so.

This isn't going to stop whilst you abuse people with nonsense and the fact that you have resorted to insulting people and their posts rather than getting down to the problem of the matter shows you are a clueless idiot who doesnt know what to do but likes to think he does

he said that we are acting like a bunch of 4 year olds

and i would expect a 4 year old to reply to that with, tell that to so and so

I don't think it needs capping, just arguements taken elsewhere.

Hopefully Mich and Violet can work with Marco and get new ideas for this to get going

Okay had an Idea about scoring system, may seem a bit complicated at first but please do ask questions regarding this and give feedback (Not yet determined the amount of games to be played)

For UK and US8 The scoring system would be 10 points for a GB or runout (I'm aware this is similar/same to FPL)

However if someone wins without Runout or GB you get a point for every ball left on the table plus the 1 point for the win for example..

Mich vs kirk US8
mich 0-1 kirk with 4 balls reamaining kirk would get 4 points for having 4 balls remaining and he would get the point for the win so would get 5 points for that 1 game.

For 9 ball ...

Runouts will be rewarded with 10 points as will Gb's

Bonus scoring points would be...
If you get a combo you get the points in the difference of the ball and 9 ball, for example a 2-9 combo would score you 7 points plus your point for the win, where as a 7-9 combo would earn you 2 points and the 1 point for the win.

Straight...
The difference between the 2 players in the game will be the points awarded, if the difference is more than a set amount (not yet thought out) then there would be bonus points added, not put much thought into straight at the minute but any suggestions would be welcome.
