Good players are picked by team captains because they are well known, reliable and frequent winners. You might uncover a hidden gem in the waiting list, but mainly its low/medium adepts, with no reputation.

Best way, it's what I used to do. You have a good rep darky people will throw themselves at you! Not me though I'm as cool as a cucumber I like to bide my time and hide in the shadows
