Would it be possible for the people who you have on your ignore list to not be able to send you inbox messages? Sick of getting pestered by an annoying person.

Good point.
Another, related aspect I've wondered about is why I can't have someone BOTH on friends and ignore list... At first glance that may sound both retarded and obvious, but I've missed having that option on several occasions, simply because just because you want to ignore someone doesn't mean you don't want to track their movements... something the friends mechanisms do a very good job at.

Fas as I know, mirroring what the others have said, those whom you have on ignore can't message you. Or am I wrong?

Nah you can't thats also the message that comes up if you try to offline message that person!
Not sure if becomes an issue if you already have an open message thread with the person? This might be the issue in Jay's situation

I think the issue Jays had him on ignore and has still been getting messages..
I believe it is the other member on ignore.. Not Jay.
So I dont think the other lad havin him on ignore or not is the issue

You can still track their movements if you look on your ignore list through the link on your freinds list.
Or do you mean if their online or not? Ie a little message coming up like "Your enemy bob logs in"

Something along those lines would be practical, aye.
To go even another step further, it would be nice if people on your ignore list were unable to watch or join games owned by your user, but with the general view on no user owning the games they create, that will never happen. Would been darn practical though.

Lets just remember that the game is not used to track people.
If you are ignoring someone, then you have them on ignore for a reason; to stop them from annoying you or because they have offended you in some way. It seems quite childish to me to want to place someone on your black list yet still want to track them.
If you are going to ingore someone, then let them chase you - you wont see anything they say and their offline messages will not be sent to you either; and this feature eliminates the need for blocking others from certain game rooms.
If someone is stalking you, contact an online moderator and we will see what we can do about the issue. But if you ignore someone, then trying to follow them is simply pot-stirring and will not help your enjoyment on the site.

Well said Flumpy
I can't understand why someone would want to waste time following ignored users
At the end of the day if you ignore someone or they upset you, just forget they even exist.

the only thing i would say is not letting them watch you play (or all ignored players automatically hidden)
then there is no unwanted audience effect
then there is no unwanted audience effect

With all due respect, that's your opinion and nothing more.
Whether or not users like to keep track of other users on this site, whether it being because you are friends and like playing together, or the opposite - people you dislike and choose to stay away from, in either case that's up to each user to decide and no one else.

Sorry but that is almost the hardest thing to prove ever! To prove someone is or is not!
I do however like Jan's idea of blockin people from created games or watching.. I think the only way to make this sensible would be if you yourself created the game yourself!
As it would be improper to ban them from tourni games in which you may have one of their friends or if you have choosen to enter another game. However it should be worth creating the game yourself if you really want to avoid someone else!
I only wanted one particular member on ignore, I know have about 8 of their freinds as the member kept coming in to my games and givin abuse to and through his mates concerning me. Which would not be an issue if there was a way around it like this.
