Right, no time like the present to kick off another Irish Cup, and this time it's in straight pool. So if you're Irish (and if you have forum posting rights), you're eligible to participate. I know I said we'd have a killer Irish Cup, but it would be a nightmare getting 3 people online together. The previous Irish Cup winners are smithbit (UK 8 ball and 9 ball), berbatov_9 (US 8 ball) and yours truly (in that ancient sport known as mini golf).

The competition will be (more or less) an open draw, with no limit on number of entrants, and byes where necessary to even out the numbers. The usual plethora of rules that come with my tourneys will apply, although they make no difference anyway, they're just to cover all eventualities

So sign up if you fancy a crack at being Irish champion of straight pool on this here website... The draw will be done on Monday after the Random tourney is finished, I hope, and after that point, late entries cannot be guaranteed. So you have about 5 days to sign up. Spread the word!!!

Competition format: all fixtures in all rounds first to 1 game. (However I am undecided as to whether to change this for the final.) All games must be played within one week of the relevant draw being done.
