Don't think the games being arranged usually causes hassle just some people love to antagonise constantly, banter is an excuse in some cases because you only have real banter with people you get on with.

Whoever thinks that league runners are "dictators" should probably not be playing in this league. League runners put in a lot of time to allow everyone else to play clan games- they don't profit and don't gain anything by being "dictators".

Yes to the new system. It should all still depend on the severity of the offense. And yes, league runners should have the power to remove players from the league in certain cases.

If you're uncomfortable with league runners making such decisions, then let the default panel do it. There are I think more than 5 members in the default panel, so abuse would be fairly difficult. I'm happy with league runners making these decision though.

This is not necessarily a case for admin/mods. For example, warnings should be given for abandoning/conceding clan games. Obviously, it's not against site rules to abandon games, so mods would not be able to do anything here.

The clan league is run by the league runners and therefore are entitled to have a say in how members playing in the league act/behave, this is only the 2nd fixture set and theres already been too much petty arguing between certain clans, If the league runners want to have league rules for members behaviour I'm all for it.
No need for any panels, league runners run the league, its their decision.

Craig, mods and admin will intervene when funkypool rules are broken.

I said it's needed alan, just would rather have a seperate panel for it....sorry for having an opinion different to yours.

Just to clarify as well I just want a few people in on big decisions like this so league runners plus default panel would be good.

why should it have a seperate panel, league runners should decide what is acceptable and give out punishment accordingly, obviously discussed between them first, thats why they are called league runners.

League has been going 14 seasons? Only one league runner has been doing it for more than 2 sets of fixtures, I would be happier having a panel if the league runners are on it then fine as I said before but a few more opinions on situations is beneficial.
They are just ordinary people alan and everyone builds up pre-conceived ideas and have people they get on with and don't.

I would like to say though that even though i do not get on with some people within the league, i myself do not bring that dislike or hatred in to any decision i make as a league runner. When i am doing league stuff i will act as a runner, but outside of the league ill act as myself.

alan there was a case today were a league runner came onto thread, edited a post i made reminded me of naming and shaming went on another thread and did the same

the 2 questions here are simple

1) that is interclan craick, why does a league runner need to do a mod / admin job ,,, it was in no breach of any rules,

2) could a warning be given ,

Wasn't suggesting you would make biased decisions jay and wasn't any digs in that comment. Just responding to sebs and alan's posts. Yes the league runners do a lot of work for us all and we're all grateful for that but it's still everybody's league not just theirs and a few extra points of view on these decisions wouldn't go amiss was all I was saying and as you already have people on board for defaults seems you could yourself, dgen and the defaults comittee together to make extra sure you have seen everything before handing out warnings, docking points etc..

Some people seem to forget what the league runners put in, it causes you no harm personally and it wasn't aimed at you - no real need to respond like that

There was a simple mistake made on behalf of the league runner, who has probably been used to having to wade through pointless arguments and sarcastic comments, one mistake by him isn't the same as that clan being persecuted - thats a ludicrous claim.

If normal members can intervene in a situation before mods/admin get involved, is it not better as long as its sensible? If it stops an argument then its all good, because "you're not a mod" is just a pathetic excuse to continue arguing after someone has asked you to stop.

League runners would be able to deal with situations outside that of mods/admin, or intervene before them. All a mod will do is edit posts, remove posting rights or cap the thread, with the last two being potentially harmful to the clan

And the warning would not have been given, because it would have been reviewed with the honest mistake (without any malice) being clear to see.

Yeah, i wasnt confident enough to make the changes, i wasnt here for that fixture set, rest assured me and liam will sort things out so that the next fixture set results are updated more easily and less confusing

I'll speak to James about the above when his computer is working (has a virus or something i was told)

The clan cup will be updated by both of us due to it contributing to golden cue in both divisions
