I just came to realize the biggest downside to all of this... You give away your aiming technique to your opponent

It doesn't appear on straight.... Which as far as I'm concerned is a good thing.
It's a nice idea, but the jerky-ness is very annoying in my opinion. If it was a smooth fluid motion I wouldn't care, but it's not.
I understand the 'real time' factor is contributive to this, but I won't see this as an improvement until a resolution is found.
On the bright side, it lets you see if your opponent is losing connection, or just taking their time on shots.

Have to admit im not a fan of the opponents cue..its not needed at all and doesnt add to the overall gameply..it would be better if we saw the opponents cursor rather that their cue..prob help with the lag issues too

"Aiming technique", hmmm... 1) But all you see is the cue position, which tells you where the white will go, which is what you see anywhere when you take the shot? In a real game, you would see your opponent's cue position anyway. 2) Technique: there isn't much technique as such in taking a shot in Funkypool, as all you can choose is aim, power and english (what do the sinistroatlantic* call this?), and the oppponent can see all this anyway.

*I made that word up, sorry... It has an intended meaning though

I find it quite annoying when using it for my shots, but I think its a great addition for general play - see what your opponent is thinking if they are snookered

An option not to be able to see your opponents cue would be nice to have - something I would use definitely

is that a dig at me ?
i have to agree seeing the other persons cue is distracting , we could do with a choice

What you didn't see up till now is what you do with the cursor/aiming point *before* you end up at your desired location And yes, you still only see the direction from cueball to aiming point, not the distance, but it's still relevant info if you know to interpret it.
Another aspect, which I guess is more common, is that you typically see which shots the opponent is considering before choosing one

the twitching is rather annoying, if it was smooth it wouldn't bother me!

personally I think there should be an option to turn it off.

I just watched the last few frames of the UK 8 ball marathon final... It brings a new depth as far as being a spectator is concerned!! You can look at a player shoooting and think "Hmmm, what's he/she up to...?"
Just one question; does it show a cue based on where the opponent's mouse is or where the opponent has his mouse clicked??

Is..how would it be moving around in circles then...a player is hardly 'clicking' at random spots on the table
