I've been thinking that nameing & shameing isn't so bad!
if you give someone the bad name for doing something wrong they most probley won't do it again?

i don't think its such a big deal when its something to do sportsmanship

If i had a very bad day and moaned at my opponent for my faults, i wouldnt like it if i had "joker86 is not a good sport" all over the forum,

You can't name and shame
1, read spinners post.
2, you will end up getting messages of that person.
3 it will cause trouble for yourself

around 80% or more of the people on here would agree with ste and i'm one of them "name and shame" will always not be aloud so the only thing i can see this thread going now is getting capped as it's a querie that has been answered so i think a capping is in order

Naming and shaming isnt needed, if someone is getting worried about an online pool game that much then they need to reconsider their lives, i mean come on think about it!

If you get any abuse from a player - slap them on ignore

If they are being a bad sport in a game - dont play them

If they are in a clan - speak to the captain

And, of course, use the send complaint facility at any time you feel someone is acting innapropriately.


Lets not forget, above all else, that naming and shaming is against the funkypool rules, to which everyone agree's when signing up for an account.

So, if you don't like the rule, take it up with yourself

What is the point in naming and shaming? What does naming and shaming actually achieve?

All it would do is stir up contraversy and by the end, people will make up stories about others - especially if they were unlucky on a tournament loss.

If someone can tell me any BENEFITS to this, and what it can actually achieve, then I would be suprised.

thats because the mods/admins didn't see the username you shamed and it will start as a warning and if you keep nameing and shaming then you won't be able to post.

take this advice from all who has posted on this thread, me and spinner have been on here the longest out of all who have posted on this thread and the others have been on this site over a year or more, you have only been a member for 20 days
