A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.....

The Federation research starship USS Dora, affectionately known to her crew as 'Dora the Explorer', was returning from her mission to the outlying abandoned mining colony of Nimda on the yellow striped planet of Llab9. There was concern over what had caused the recent demise of the settlers on Llab9 and the bodies of all but two of them had been found. They had suffered a terribly gruesome fate. Had there been some virus that had attacked them or was it something else?

There was a strange unease around the table as the crew settled down to eat their first meal back onboard ship. Everyone was aware that there had been a short period whilst they had been down on the planet that time seemed to have stood still. Nobody could recall anything that had happened during that spell however all were aware that something was not right.

Sitting around the large table were Captain Cloone, First Officer Lieutenant Rogan, Chief Navigator Jasondep, Chief Engineer Melz, Engineer Summer, Science Officer JoJo, Payload Specialist Keoghz, Catering Chief Paula, All Round Superhero Chris and human/cyborg droid m2j3m4 (the poor man's version of the far more commercially successful r2d2 and c3po).

As the crew hungrily tore into the food lovingly prepared by Paula thoughts began to turn to home and the mood lightened. Suddenly, however, Chris arose from his seat and let out a piercing scream. As the stunned crew watched in disbelief and shock something burst from his chest instantly killing him. What was it? Surely it couldn't be? But yes it was. It was a Cadbury's Triple Chocolate Sponge cake. He had always been told they were bad for him to eat in one go and now that had been proved chillingly correct.

Who, or what, had caused Chris's untimely end? Captain Cloone quickly ran a scan of the ship for life forms but the only ones located were the nine remaining around the table. Everybody looked at each other. Who was responsible for this? One or more of the crew had to have been infected by an alien presence whilst on Llab9. They had to be found immediately and eliminated before they could kill anyone else.

Who would the crew suspect and execute first?

There's certainly logic behind that! He must've been replenishing his stash from paula's kitchen when it ran low...not a clever thing to do, looks like he found out too late!

And by the way... I'm suspicious of JasonDep. He never really passed his Chief Navigator's exam, or so I was told one night on the tiles by an old colleague, Lieutenant Data... And he doesn't get drunk! He's an android!

Notice it was the FIRST meal..supposedly lovingly prepared by me??? ..let me explain.

Whilst on the colony of Nimda on the yellow striped planet of Llab9, newly appointed Chief Caterer Paula, called a newly appointed Science Officer Jo to one side, and tho she was slightly ashamed, Paula revealed her fears of cooking on a spaceship as she'd never experianced it before and didnt want the hungry crew to be disappointed.
Jo, being nice ( Or so Paula thought until now) kindly offered to lend a hand stating that because it was a state of the art spaceship, we needed state of the art scientific utensils, which..yep..Jo could put her hands on!! :O!!
Did Jo slip some sort of chemical into the cake? Well, you tell me as all i can tell you is im sorry i let you down, but twasnt me that prepared that meal *blushes*

Ask Jo where her test tubes are i blame the nutty professor herself !!!

omg i can't believe you would tell such lies christopher robin , i can cook and i can cook very well thank you pfft , i thought my test tubes were for other liquids not poison i wouldn't risk poisoning those triple chocolate rolls as i usually make him share them with me , that would be suicide

:O Then maybe it was YOU Cloony the Loony Captain! JoJo did tell me she'd need to ask your permission before lending a helping hand, maybe when you went to check the utensils before she used them you tampered with them!!

I dunno tho, im sticking with JoJo, after all, i ate some cake..i tested it before it was served yet im fine! I reckon when Chris turned away, Jo slipped something in his cake cos she doesnt like the fact he's forgotten where he came from and is now an all round superhero!

ok thats half true.... i didnt fully pass my chief navigators exam, but that was because i was locked out of my tree on absynthe. not only do i get drunk but i also like to take some time out to do a captains log when you're all in your space beds and then i blame paula for the smell cause she's always up cooking during the night.....at least i think its cooking she's doing.
