seriously it should be solved, let merv have them unofficially or whatever cos he can work round you like that and you cant do nothing, they will be free players but wont go anywhere.

Well, it's a rule that the league hosts have decided for their event, and that most people seem to be fine with, with the exception of a few stubborn people constantly wanting to fight it. If you don't like it, no one is standing in your way to start your own league with whatever team size you prefer.

Simple bottom line is that we want to encourage more clans rather than larger ones.

The part of the player base that are stable and interested enough to be potential clan players is fairly small and constant. The larger clans are, the fewer clans there can be. No one has any illusions that a couple extra players in one given clan is gonna be the end of the world, but we want to stop any trends in that direction before it does turn into a problem.

I have had to drop the_rookie from the clan

Due to outside pressures, and the task that is ahead of us I had to do it for the good of the clan...

He is still very welcome to participate in the fellowship league and be a non-playing member, however if any other clan wants him - he is an awesome person to have on board.
