England hosted the first three competitions this I know! I doubt they did well in them though, so it has got to be one of the obvious ones.......India, Pakistan, West Indies or Australia. Australia however didnt win it until the year I was born, I know that much as I have Australian relatives who consider me a lucky charm for Australian Cricket

So that leaves India, Pakistan and West Indies. and I am clueless to which it is, not forgetting it could be someone out of those 3 anyway

England ain't never won one, but I would guess the West Indies, if I were guessing, which I'm not. We'll wait for Red to show himself and offer his opinion...

But just after remembering that Griffiths nearly done the World and UK Championship double the year he won the Worlds as a qualifier. Virgo beat him after being docked a frame for being late...sick of hearing it on commentary. Late 70's or early 80's, just before Davis' dominance.
