Wtf with people who make new accounts, and just take the mick?

Ok, so i dont mind playing people who use another name, it doesn't bother me, but when people who are obviously using a pseudoname and talking crap, what is that about? Why cant people just either, shut the hell up and accept whatever happens, or play on their main accounts and let everyone see what type of a person they really are...

What really does my head in is people who pm and ask, erm, things as soon as i enter chat room not knowing my ASL!! I could be a child and the things they say are uncalled for. Nothing to do with ignore feature or w/e they shouldnt do it POINT BLANK!!

And.... gen chatters at one point constantly getting reminded not to 'F' the forums up when others use it elsewhere around the forums

Just beeen thinking some more, and its getting me really worked up that people feel that they have the <right> to come on a dictate how people play. If I thought you were giving critical advice, fine. But these players. They berate every little thing you do. Really gets to me.

And another thing.

See these people who say 'gg' before the last ball has been potted? Wtf is the point? It puts people off and its lame. If you cant beat someone normally, get bettter. Dont go using crap gamesmanship to try and win. I had someone say 'gg' when i had 5 balls on the talbe... SERIOUSLY!? WTF?

Dangerous looking thread... But any, my two cents. Anyone who says gg with 5 balls left is just wasting their time. It's one thing to say gg to creep out the opponent when he's on his last ball, but with 5 balls left is just stupid. If you go ahead and fail to clear, chances are you'd have missed anyway. (And when you do, you respond with a gg of your own. See how the other guy likes it up him. Throw in a wp for good measure. )

People who berate you for your style of play - ditto. They either need to improve their own style of pool or they need to find lives outside of Funkypool. It's the same as if you were beating them at real pool and they criticised your style of play; you're still beating them, so either they should improve their own pool or take up, I dunno, darts or stamp collecting or something. But it's never happened me in FP, I don't think. If it did, my riposte would be to beat them. And if I lost, then I wouldn't see why they're arguing since my style has benefited them.

Ill rant about ppl calling u names over ur picture.

Me for example i put up this pic i got up monday and yest i got called fat well hold up a min the picture is shrunk so i blame that.

Yeah I'd like to add my 2p. I get frustrated when I give the chance to people who are ranked WAY below me and when they win the first game they say something like "wow, that was easy". My natural reaction is to swear at them and start an argument, but since they nearly always send a complaint against me, I should forget about it.

Note: If I'm banned in the morning that is the reason

Steph dont let petty minded people get you down, they are only calling you fat because they dont have a life of their own most probably are only jealous of you pool trophy anyway :) So just ignore them.. Nice pic BTW you look really happy with the win.

I dont need to rant over the game but sometimes get real frustrated with my own play it can vary loads but suppose this happens to most people at some point in time, I do find it difficult and laugh why some people get annoyed at losing and like to swear when they do, I dont know if that it because they are competitive or just a bad loser but either way I just laugh which makes them worse.. I mean come on its not like you earn any money from winning a tournament? Because if we did id be skint!! The biggest funky monkey I have is to the people that never say good game, I always say good game win or lose but thats just because im good sport!

My advice is practice more and have a laugh dont worry if you lose remember the next game starts on the hour and make that a new challenge you can only improve!

Those that have an overinflated opinion of themselves thinking there is some amazing skill to this game and those taking it far too seriously and forgetting, like crazzy says, that at the end of the day there is nothing at stake and no one really cares who achieves what.

If you have good eyes to be able to read a line from impact point to the pocket and a decent system, monitor and link you will always win a lot more than you lose.

No such thing in my opinion. People must be allowed to be as serious about their gaming as they like - they can't dictate or diminish my own fun level anyway so no reason to care.

In fact, one frustration *I* have are people who do just that: Dictate how others should view the game.

Another frustration is the lack of ability many people have in terms of understanding the rank system and the implications of the self-balancing weighting. Fair enough, some of it touches into quite advanced mathematical statistics and might not be apparent, but it's frustrating none the less since it's so hard to turn people around.

I wont even go there jan - the theory is not a problem its the reality that is.

Just kidding! The only thing that bugs me on here is losing, this game is all that matters to me, and winning or losing is almost a matter of life or death at the best (worst) of times. If only I had a decent monitor/system I'd have nothing to worry about
