Hi everyone,

I just wanna have a moan really :D

I've been away from funkypool for ooh i dunno about 2 years now and when i logged back on for the first time the other day, first impressions were great! There has been so much new content added and the gameplay in general is just better!

The only thing that lets this site down is the players! (not everyone obviously) Everyone who played funkypool back in the old days was part of a great community, i would frequently log in, sometimes for hours and not play a single game, we would all just have a chat and a laugh. Whereas now your lucky to even get a 'hello' from your opponant during a match.

I suppose not a lot can be done, times change, people come and go....shame really i was quite looking forward to catching up with some old buddies on here :(

Ah well, moan over...no doubt i'll see some of you around on the site :D

EDIT: Wow, ive just been sat in the chat room for about 45 minutes whilse reading through the forum, i just looked back and nobody has spoken a single word despite being 30 odd people sat in the room, CHEER UP EVERYONE, IT MIGHT NEVER HAPPEN!

So really the title should be

"What happened to the world!?"

The chat room will be like that at this time mate give it until 4 pm and you will have all the school kids saying "hey asl" "u gt msn n cam" etc etc etc

But amongst all of them there are some really great people in there, just show your face on general chat say hi and anyone there will start a conversation making you feel at home

I had the same feeling when I came back to UK after 2 years abroad. Things / people move on...

I guess the fact that the site has got soooo much bigger in terms of amount of players doesn't help. Everybody used to know everybody back in the day....still, look on the bright side, there is plenty more people for me to get to know :D

I think the biggest change is that due to the number of users there are "packs" or "groups" who all end up online at similar times and chat among themselves, I guess you'll soon notice them all!

Also, many many more games to play. Stil plenty of people chatting, just not all in the chatroom waiting for the next tourney

About a year ago I used to be on here all the time and i know what your talking about.Probly been on for 2 or 3 years cause used guest for a long long while. People don't talk as much and I don't even like playing pool that much. I'll end this before I ramble on for to long.

i am a regular on snooker when i came here it was totally different...i thought the opposite to you, i thought everybody was talking over here compared to on snooker where nobody talks hardly ever and there are even less friendly people in the chatrooms over there

i like to sit and have a banter tho in both places and if you start a convo people normally start too

The chat room nowadays mainly contains two types of chat:

"any1 gt cam"
The other type being a long pointless argument over something very pointless.

It's a shame, I suppose 2 or 3 years ago it might have been a lot better, more friendly, whereas now you've got to look towards people actually playing, usually in groups in the evening. There's also the General chat on the forums which is just about always full of friendly people. Takes some time but when you get to know some of the more regular players, you start to see the friendlier side of the game.

I agree and disagree with that statement.

Yes it may be pointless in your eyes but in order for people to be arguing over it, there must be some point to it

Also, they're not really arguments, they are... heated debates -- You don't find people flaming each other for their views, they just try and "persuade" the opponent to come over to their side.
