Aye but that's not the point...
50 overs would have given the Windies a chance to try bowl England out, and the way most of the England team are batting, it wouldn't have surprised me if they did. Whereas 20 overs, 10 wickets, and 130 runs to get, England and Strauss in particular had licence to play more expansively. Not that I'm trying to take anything away from their victory, fully deserved, I just feel the rain delays were far more beneficial to England than West Indies.

England have done it, won the last game by 26 runs and win the series 3-2. Freddie got a hat-trick late on to practically wrap up the final game.
And the main talking point is that fiasco by John Dyson and the Windies in the first game.
The other talking point is that Bell should replace Shah back in the team, he replaced him in the magical Freddie over. lol

Bell should never have been dropped, though Shah is an outstanding ODI player, imo and should not be dropped. I would like them both in my team, but how that would work I don't know, not now Strauss is a winning ODI captain ! So it's one or the other, and I must say after this tour it has got to be Bell but only because of Shah lack of form, would be nice for one of them to play themselves into the team, that kinda goes for the whole team at the moment, only changes are due to poor form, not a player coming in on good form. Shah wont be dropped for the twenty20 tournament mind, well I hope not
Like David Loyd said, it's a weird series, Windies looked the stronger outfit, but have lost the series. Just sport for ya I suppose. England were the stronger team today though I thought
Well done England, I hope this does not keep Flower as coach, and I hope it does not enable the England and Wales cricket board to turn a blind eye to what really has been a shocking tour, questions have been asked and answers are needed ! And hopefully we will all get those answers soon, but they deserve a weekend of fun and celebrations after this winter.
Edit: Not so much deserve, but need

a decent series win by england, its always hard to win batting first in a shortened game, excellent bowling by flintoff, is it just me though or is bopara struggling technicaly at international level, his foot movement seems none existent.

Yep, very good win for England yesterday, a victory manifested by the brilliance of Flintoff. Hopefully this will give the team some confidence, and they can carry it through to the twenty20 World Cup later in the year.

Solid start for England against the West Indies, should go beyond 400 in their first innings. Bopara was brilliant, 143 runs, stand out player, though Graeme Swann might have something to say about that

You'll find nothing for Graham Hick, sure his name is Graeme Hick
Take a bow Graham Onions, nice five wickets on debut after a shaky start. Graeme Swann deserves a mention too
Windies made to follow on

England thumped the West Indies, sorry, I'll repeat that, England thumped the West Indies.
Doesn't happen to much, but England won by 10 wickets within 3 days, could have been an innings had it not been for Nash and Ramdin putting on a 100+ partnership.
Graeme Swann got man of the match and it was a good performance from the spinner, 60 odd runs with the bat and 6 wickets with the ball, good performance.

Lose to Netherlands, then thump Pakistan. We should be in the Super 8s now, but will Australia be following us? They could be out and hopefully will be

Australia have been Eliminated. Sri Lanka got the 160 runs required to defeat them and send them home (well to Leicester)

That might give Australia, plenty of time to warm up before the ashes.
