Sorry for not mentioning this earlier, but i just noticed that when I change from one screen to another...for example, when going from options back to practice, big chunks of the previous screen are still showing through, and it takes a LONG time before things return to the way they should be. I assume that these changes are a "work in progress" ? I hope so, because the alterations have seriously hampered things.

Those of you seeing this halo effect can you tell me which Java version you are using?

higballer4, what is your Java version - I've not seen any report about this.

That will be the Pool version (they are currently similar), can you check your Java version here?

To check I understand this - you open the options, then close it, the game is not redrawn and it runs slow?

the game is redrawn ok, but in the section where the room chat dialogue is, the only thing on view is three identical displays of the bottom right hand pocket. I can clear it by switching between screens, but it looks like a screen refresh issue, although I`m not very computer literate.

Ah ok, so the screen isn't repainted in some circumstances. Thanks, I will look into that.

Much appreciated Nick, but the main issue, and I don`t seem to be alone in this, is the halo around the balls. Also, and this is a minor issue, there used to be an icon that showed which ball had been hit. I don`t seem to see it anywhere, although so far, I`ve only used the practice games.....am I missing something obvious? It certainly wouldn`t be the first time :)

The cross in the cursor ball isnt central..or my eyes need sorting!!!

I think the problem with the ghost ball is that it isnt a uniform shade across the whole thing - the bottom and right side is not as white - think this causes an optical illusion. I cant see a reason why it needs shading at all.

Would also love to see a thin dark line around the ghost to give it some definition but that may be just because I have eye problems

Im using the old cursor again, thats the cross im on about. Can anyone else see how much the cross is off centre?

OK, so I've patched the server now.

I've tried to resolve the "halo" bug, but as I've never seen it please let me know if it still occurs.

Also the repaint issue should be fixed.

The cursor should be centrally aligned correctly.

I haven't had the issue of the halo around the balls. I logged in this morning before the patch and again after it, but I've never had that happen to me.
