Well, yes they should. It might not seem immediately fair, but keep this in mind: The player who didn't get a chance to play his match lost the chance to prove he/she could do a 10 point win.
The concern of others is entirely secondary here and should not be taken into account at all.
(and yes, that obviously goes for ALL default considerations, including those where this particular clan is not involved)
In the long run, it is (or should be) the same for all.
What we most definitely can NOT do, is to have the hosts/jury settling defaults based on "by how much it is likely that player A would have beaten player B if the game had been played".
A 10 - 0 win does totally distort the league, how many games have been played and the finalscore has been 10 - 0. 1 so far out of all games played. This is why a pools panel system has to be used to try and save total unrealistic figures being awarded as defaults.
If we went to a different scoring format as discussed elsewhere the argument about the size of a default win would be stopped overnight.

My point isn't that you should use a maximum frame difference (10), but that the upper part of the scale should be used, with the total table in mind.
In short, a default ruling of 8-6 should more often been a 10-8.

No idea how the thread turned into a frames debate and I know a lot has been said on the official thread that I havent had chance to read properly yet, i will look at it all before next season.
Changing it is an option though, I'll talk to Steph this week about it

A few "guests" picked up on my message to the clan about defaults and the snowball kinda started rolling from there...
If anyone wants to keep discussing that, I strongly invite people to move it to the official thread, since it both clutters this clan thread as well as keeps the debate hidden from the majority of the clan players who don't read all the clan threads on a daily basis.

There appears to be a bug in system on website its turned ut v crazzy fixture completely upside down but dw the fixtures themselves are correct just upside down wd walker for spotting it.
When i click manage fixtures tho there right way up *confused much*

Thanks Steph. Would just like to point out that as captain I led by example and put myself at number 1 for the fixture with crazzy clan Was surprised that I appeared to be number 8. The experiment with putting everton ste as number 1 for the week 1 and 2 fixtures backfired

Not perfect, but pretty good considering the opposition I think. Amazing 9 ball player so glad to grab 3 there anyway. Luckily, I'm not the only one who suck bad in UK now and then lol, and he was unlucky on top of that.

Nice one Jan great result that . He must be the greatest newbie of all time that guy :O. Most people in other clans would have sat back for the default win after the great lengths you've went to to get the game played.

I prefer the game played - regardless of whether it helps us or not. Fair is fair.
He even struggled with connection issues and we replayed 3 or 4 frames!
I'm too sporting sometimes I guess, but a win feels better when it's 100% deserved and not helped by your opponent's technical problems.

Well done Mich, guess my team talk helped the other night
Ten points behind MVP now with same games played! Lets keep it close going to the final week, as many frames as possible this week.....remember even if ya losing badly that every frame counts, pull out that 1 frame extra and it could go a long way at the end of the season!!!
