Everytime I find the answer to one of Cloone's quickly I always think it was too easy, so then I look around for other possible answers

Who might I ask is Napeoleon?
Napoleon Bonaparte, to give the brilliant man his full title. I could have made it harder by giving more obscure clues, I did a project on him once, but if I did, that would have meant more effort
Cloooooone!

What case? Sounds like Napeoleon, pure and simple. Niall?

Great military leader, almost invaded England, married daughter of an Austrian emperor for financial reasons. Eventually imprisoned on an Atlantic island, where he died. Who was he?

I guarantee that I didn't need to search the internet for that one! He was sent to Elba, wasn't he? Or didn't he come back from there and then get exiled to St Helena?
Didn't William the Conqueror successfully invade England and become king?
Right, my go...
He was born in Ballintoy in 1833. His daddy was Enoch and his mammy was Anne. What was his name, first name and surname?

I believe you clooneman
Indeed, Napoleon and a number of his followers went into exile in Elba after Paris was overran in 1814, though this proved an error of misjudgement on part of the British. It was there that he plotted his return to Paris and have another crack at the allies, but alas, he was imprisoned by the damn Brits shortly after his return, and not so long after that was exiled to St Helena. It was here where my favourite historical character died . There are many fascinating stories and articles about Napoleon's time in St Helena out there which I highly recommend reading, about his death, attempted rescues, journal entries etc. Fascinatingly brilliant man, to say the least.
Answer to your question, William Williams
