Agreed a couple of people have left on me, and while it says you can continue with the break, you get a default win after one more pot.
The game is great though Nick, nice one , a tournament of this would be much easier to implement than killer too, so that would be great somewhere down the line.

Another problem nick, when a person leaves, it should let you continue the break.

I'm gone half the day and there's a new game...
I'm never informed of anything!
Nice game though and great addition.

Yeah agree with that but think how much that would slow down the game though, would make games at least twice as long.

However every pocketed ball must be called, even on break shot hence while there is no ability to nominate the logic assumes the player is attempting a single pot (and no pot on the break).

good game with silly rules
I do like this as a 2 player game.
never heard of this being a 2 player game tho, I´ve always seen it at tournaments as a side competition where individuals have a go and the player with the best score at the end of the day wins.
potting of the break doesnt count lol,
I gain nothing by breaking, so why should I break the balls wide open just for my opponent to pot them all, going to be lots of safety breaks, surely theres more skill breaking and clearing up than having them broken for you.
potting 2 balls at the same time is a foul lol
surely the more balls you pot the better.
Im sure nick wouldve done his homework on the rules but since when did funkypool use the proper rules for all its games.

Straight pool is the oldest of the mainstream billiard games and as such the rules may seem outdated. Not potting of the break and not potting two is a funkypool adaptation. For the proper game you need nominate the pocket on every ball. funkypool does not have this system, and I'm not sure I wish to add it as it slows the game, therefore it assumes you are always attempting a single pot, and no pot on the break. (We can look at changing this in the future)
And on the break, like on the real game, the object is to play a safety. In this case it's similar to snooker.

ANNOUNCMENTS
runs of 15 dont mean anything, so can you change the announcement to 20+ as the chat room is full of 'easy-enough' achievments!

The game is a great addition but it think the rules need to be adapted slightly as have been previously mentioned....
1) Potting off the break should be allowed
2) Potting 2 or more balls at once should be allowed
3)You should be able to specify the ammount needed for victory or at least have 1 or 2 options. 35 is quite high, i was thinking something like 21 would make games quicker and more exciting.
4) Please don't introduce nominating pockets as this will add unnecessary time to the shot, and prolong the game. Race to 35 takes at least 5 minutes and sometimes longer.
Hope you take these considerations on board as i feel it will help make the game the best it can be!

I don't think that players should have the option of what the winning amount of score should be, because it would make the game much too easy. A stable number that is low but yet not so easy too reach like 25 or 20 would make the game a little faster and exciting like you said. And I also agree with the facts that you should be able to pot a ball during the break and pot more than 1 balls in one shot so that way the game can be faster. (Just like in Snooker if you pot 2 reds they still count as a break of 2 points.)

35 is definately enough, as proved it can be done in 1 visit, without it being too easy and doing it all the time.
